The single largest wildfire in Nebraska state history That is over 640,000 acres in this fire alone In total and its only March And its even worse over 800,000 acres have been scorched across Nebraska so far The planet is being torched as humans continue to heat the Earth

Breaking News! Code UFB!!! Arctic sea-ice has now begun its Spring melt and this year's maximum has passed, at 13,757,000 km² on March 7th. This means a new record low Arctic sea-ice maximum has been set, beating the old record low, set just last year, by about 26,000 km².

HISTORIC MARCH 2026 U.S. HEAT, MEDIA FAILED TO LINK WITH CLIMATE So far, 65 cities have tied or set new March record highs- across the U.S.- Temperatures 15-30°F above the historical average for March at this time of year. Media (today) made no link to climate or global warming (The Weather Channel) #heatwave #ClimateChange #globalwarming

In Phoenix, Arizona, temperatures could reach an unbelievable 107°F (+42°C) on Friday. If that verifies, it would break the record for the earliest occurrence of 107°F since records began in 1895, pulverising the previous record by a whopping 44 days. This is totally bonkers.

@slchilds100 @EliotJacobson Methane is also being released from warming wetlands and rice paddies, CAFOs in the livestock industry and fugitive emissions in the gas industry. And yes, for sure, from thawing permafrost in the Arctic and subarctic regions.

Your 'moment of doom' for Mar. 17, 2026 ~ Triggered. "Methane emissions cause 25% of global heating today, and there has been a 'scary' surge since 2007 ... this acceleration seriously risks triggering catastrophic climate tipping points." theguardian.com/environment/20…

Fair to say that the Western U.S. heatwave has reached record-shattering status, with dozens of locations breaking all-time March monthly heat records & some now approaching *April* records. Swath of record heat extends clear from Pacific to Great Plains, & from Canada to Mexico.

@Triode_in_situ @DavidUllrich202 Yes, the sun drives Earth's CLIMATE. But our emissions of ±50 billion tonnes of CO2 and other greenhouse gases every year is driving current climate CHANGE. And no, everything is decidedly NOT within natural variation. (If it were, the Earth would be cooling right now.)

MARCH 2026 U.S. GLOBAL WARMING HEAT DOME STARTED IN THE WEST CNN, 17 March. This is global warming-the US is highly vulnerable to climate change-driven extreme heat. The future for America will only get worse- fast. Demand stop fossil fuel subsidies! #heatwave #climatechange #globalwarm

@sjarmybrat @ECOWARRIORSS It would be nice if there were a place that deniers didn't believe in, where Mother Nature did indeed take pity on those of us fighting to safeguard her future, and the future for all the children ... of all species.

Earth’s Rotation Is Changing at a Speed Not Seen in 3.6 Million Years Rising sea levels caused by melting ice sheets are redistributing mass across the planet, reducing how fast Earth spins and gradually lengthening the day. newsweek.com/earth-rotation…

Add in CO2 and CH4 and it will be clear why temps are rising. And humanity might want to start speeding up the phase out of sulfur hexafluoride gas in switchgear and circuit breakers, given that SF6 is 23,500 to 25,200 times more potent a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide over a 100-year period.

NEW SCIENTIST MISLEADS ON GLOBAL WARMING- BADLY New Scientist: 'Scientists disagree whether human-made climate change or natural fluctuations are mostly to blame for worse-than-expected heat in recent years'. Not true New Scientist – Goggle AI: ‘scientists overwhelmingly agree on the acceleration of global warming There is widespread scientific agreement that global warming has accelerated in recent years'. #globalwarming #climatechange

@FormerylNurgle A (the?) problem is that even when the ever-present natural variability swings back, we're left at a new higher baseline.

@PCarterClimate Almost everyone agrees that global warming has accelerated. But some researchers say it is speeding up even more than climate models show, while others argue that the surge in temperatures is due to natural fluctuations that will soon go away.

@ahengst That was one of the problems with putting off our transition to zero-carbon energy back in the 1980s when we should have started.

@PCarterClimate The models were probably correct had we included the recent “sudden” air quality improvements in shipping. Sorry no links. I’m kinda thinking we would be better off with some of those particulates.

@AdamST8605 @_sophiebooks_ And because every country is saying that (while not taking responsibility for their manufacturing emissions that were exported to Asia in the 1980s and 90s, particularly China), our emissions are still going up.

@_sophiebooks_ @PCarterClimate Germany and entire EU are responsible for a small fraction of global emissions. We could stop emitting today and it wouldn’t matter at all.
