@Pureeejit @UKONSmember @UKAOSociety @acpleadership @OncologyForum Ours are all done as an outpatient through AOS, attend early morning, drain inserted, removed at 4ish then discharged home the same day, no inpatient admission. I’ll send you our SOP 👍

@KateParrott4 @NaiClatsNurse @UKONSmember @UKAOSociety @acpleadership @OncologyForum The ascitic ones stay in, but high risk of peritonitis tends to keep them as IP- but eating to know the theme nationally- so as to plan a more robust service.

@Pureeejit @NaiClatsNurse @UKONSmember @UKAOSociety @acpleadership @OncologyForum Therapeutic drains take about 5 mins to put in then 20 or mins to drain then take them out, cxr then home. Pop down to the office. I'll be back in on Thursday xx
