PLEASE DO NOT BOOK AIRPLANE TICKETS IF THEY ARE NOT FROM THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE! I AM DISGUSTED. I HAVE JUST BEEN ROBBED OUT OF AROUND £3,000. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF CONTACTING LAWYERS. I was looking to book my tickets to come to Los Angeles, for purposes related to football (post World Cup), to grow the game, talk to coaches, players. And perhaps get a different perspective on football. So, on the verge of booking, using Google Flights (which I thought was a reputable search engine), I book my ticket through a 3rd party travel agency, as it saved a few £200. I do my due diligence research, 3.8 on TrustPilot. Not bad. Rounds up to 4. You are bound to get bad reviews. So I book. I get a confirmation email, I can view my booking. But the ticket says "pending". However, the PNR number does not work on the actual airlines website. Well, I guess that is why it says pending. I check the day after, still pending. And at this point, I contact the booking company. They tell me "Yes, your ticket cannot be processed unless you pay an extra £300, as the price you booked was a special promotion price that is no longer applicable". I WAS FURIOUS. I demanded a refund. AND I HAVE STILL GOT NO RESOLUTION. I am going through my bank, my legal team. I will not be posting the travel agencies name as I do not want to create public controversy, my lawyers will take care of it. I just want to give people a PSA.
