Behind The PFP 2023 Recap
In 2023, I started on a journey. My goal?
Create and form a strong bond in the @Azuki community. Connect through stories and experiences that highlighted - We're all humans behind these anime jpegs.
It's been a long journey building through the bear, but I'm glad I stuck with it and built a wealth of episodes which I am proud of. In no other scenario, would I have been able to record episodes with this vast array of folks from different professions.
I wanted to take this time to thank all my guests and listeners while highlighting what's to come next.
1. @the__eeb - Bobu committee member, OB, experienced traveler, and marketing manager.
2. @emilyrosemcg - Azuki community manager, photographer, and jack of all trades.
3. @SunwayIKZ - Creator of @ZenPopzIKZ and the most charismatic person in the community.
4. @0xNader - Creator of @BobusCardShop, and someone whom I truly respect for his knowledge and love for this space.
5. @datdegenboi - My brother. The creator of the word "Weeb3" and now working for @StoryProtocol .
6. @CountDewKu - Co-Creator of @Kigu_inc (the most comfortable looking kigu sweaters).
7. @MINHxDYNASTY - Come on, we all know the Gojo of the Azuki community. The man has continued to grow his brand in this space as a very good content-creator.
8. @Real_Pretzl - Bobu Committee member and a driving factor in representing the Azuki brand in a positive light.
8.5. @kevcev - Shoutout to Bobu's voice 😂
9. @MiKeMeUpP - The head of finance over at @shibuyaxyz and core member of @spiritdao. Even though he's an enemy of poutine, this man is an integral part of the community. Always gives a fair analysis.
10. @DemAzuki - The Head of Community at Azuki. He's a very caring and uplifting individual. Also, a giant.
11. @CarlChoi - Founder of @247ComicsHQ and co-creator of the well-known Azuki twitter space @RedBeanRadio .
12. @0x_Ice - A very good friend of mine and co-founder of @JUUNI_Official and @SekaiGlory
13. @shinny427 - The rising DJ @juuku__ (seriously, keep an eye on this man), GOATED trader, and co-founder of @CricketFutures_ .
14. @mxuNFT - Successful entrepreneur and tech guru(He literally sold his company to Ticketmaster) The song you hear for the podcast was created by this legend!
15. @yrn1ck - Trader and founder of RetroHunters. Had a great conversation with him but I haven't seen him in awhile.
16. @Anaroth__ - Visionary and a steward of the arts. He's helped @atriumart create videos for MANY projects that you see popping up.
17. @microglia_8888 - One of my best friends in this space and someone I look up to. He's worked for Azuki, HAPE, Art Gobblers, KPR, and Butter. Oh, and did I mention? He's a Neuroscientist.
18. @Bamedi_ - A Champion of Azuki. He's been quite the brand ambassador and a member of SD.
19. @heyskylark - A community-hired software engineer at Azuki! Still working there like an absolute g.
20. @Csaw07 - A crypto OG who created the world's first Bitcoin brokerage and installed the world's first Bitcoin ATM. Such a humble guy and I cannot wait to see what he does next.
21. @notyeong - The co-founder to @Weebox_Official + @San_FranTokyo. I'm a big fan of what they've been doing and looking forward to their upcoming pfp mint!
22. @niftymillennial - A prominent member of the Azuki community who has continuously built alongside Azuki. A bobu committee member and all around great guy.
23. @theyrofthesheep - A great friend of mine and another @GRDNCaretakers who continues to build behind the scenes. You do NOT want to miss what's coming with @WhispersofTaiji
24. @ZAGABOND - The co-founder of Azuki and human bean who only wants the best for his community.
It was an absolute pleasure recording episodes with every single one of these people and I am eternally grateful for the time that they spent with me.
During my time with this podcast I never once received anything of monetary value for doing these episodes, so truly, this was a passion project through and through.
So what's coming next?
You may see me record episodes with others outside of the Azuki community. Understand that this doesn't mean I won't be recording episodes with Azuki community members/team members, far from it actually. Azuki is my home and I will always continue to support the community.
I've always believed that community is one of the key factors that sets us apart from Web2. So I want to be a part of that connection.
I want to highlight that we're all genuinely human beings and should treat each other as such.
So what's the value that you get from me?
A stronger community. In my eyes, a stronger community leads to a healthier brand and project. You can find 'alpha' from literally 100s of others in this space. So I want to focus on what I find most important and that's community.
The episodes will be sporadic (due to new job duties) but nonetheless, I will continue doing Behind The PFP.
