Kicking off this gorgeous Friday in San Francisco cleaning up Stern Grove with the Girl Scout troop from Chinese American International School. Kids from Kindergarten to 3rd grade roamed the grove with their parents hunting for litter & managed to fill several bags in an hour.

An amazing day to be outdoors in San Francisco, and keeping it clean of course! Morning Rise & Grind Cleanup in the Inner Richmond, followed by the afternoon @GamescapeSF Cleanup in NOPA. This city really shines when the weather is like this and when the streets are clean!

Guys, SF is a magical city. Today, a beautiful Wednesday, I had a 4:30pm meeting with a friend at a café… it was closed. We walked 10 blocks, every café was closed. Finally found Blue Bottle, it closed at 5:30. Can some YC company please build what SF people actually want?

Another good looking cleanup with the team from @Sephora who came out again to clean the SOMA neighborhood around their HQ. Great energy from this group who filled bags of trash of mostly small littered items like cigarettes butts, food packaging, to-go foodware, and more.

Another community service day with students & teachers from Presidio Knolls School who came out to clean the Fillmore neighborhood. 30 strong filled 14 full bags of trash and reflected on ways we can all help keep SF clean. Great job ya’ll!

San Francisco is: - beautiful - a tiny city - has insane nature and parks - filled with a ton of homeless ppl - pretty filthy - the best place in the world for tech - at odds with its anti establishment history - damaged by many bad policies - changing rapidly with the new admin - not a great transit system - getting cleaner by the day - has some pretty great restaurants - very little nightlife - restaurants close at 9pm - not much of a city compared to nyc - really expensive place to live - a top tier city

Years ago I took a job with a company in San Francisco. The agreement was that I’d commute for a couple months then relocate. (This was before remote work was a thing.) Ten months in, the CEO said, “You’re not moving here are you?” I replied, “Nope.” I hated everything about it — the never-truly-warm weather, the what-can-you-do-for-me culture, and the filthy city itself. It looks great in photos tho.

Let’s go Rebels! Big thanks to this group of college students from @OleMiss who are visiting California volunteering and exploring our state, and joined our cleanup. They brought that southern hospitality to San Francisco and were treated with coffee from Cinderella Bakery.

Nice turnout for the One Richmond Cleanup thanks to @StIgnatius students who had the day off and used it to do community service. The amazing weather didn’t hurt as an excuse to get outside and make San Francisco shine just a bit more.

Move to San Francisco and join a neighborhood cleanup, it will change your life. Over the weekend, 550 volunteers cleared 585+ bags of trash from SF streets and discovered another reason that makes this place so special.

Millennium School 7th graders did another lap cleaning around Jefferson Square Park, which has been transformed. It took half the time it used to clean the park and we had time left over to clean Margaret Hayward Playground across Turk St. Stewardship + Consistency = Results
