Then let’s step up and have debates, and let the voters decide. In previous cycles criteria was set well in advance (5%polling), and the decisions regarding qualification for that criteria was decided in mid-late July. It’s absolutely un- American to demand that the Republican Party coronate a candidate who is not willing to earn the seat. I have faith that they’ll see the light and do the right thing.
