@TheAnchoress An early attempt at guessing the growth was alarming. And then the curve started to decline a bit. But then it resumed the same rate and now the CDC is projecting the cases to start to plateau in mid-March IF the quarantines are effective.

Am I the only one who thinks this thing is way worse than they're admitting? Or am I the LAST one who thinks it? I've not been following news lately. theguardian.com/world/live/202…

@timmaguire42 @TheAnchoress We were trying to calculate the R nought on Sunday and the numbers are near a normal curve, but not quite. We can surmise that there is under-reporting, but it’s not dramatic. As the cases spread geographically it becomes impossible to hide.

@TheAnchoress About a week ago, The Lancet did a statistical analysis of the spread of the virus and concluded that Wuhan had about 10X as many cases as they were admitting to.

@onukiii I watch an old movie. I take a nap. I listen to a favorite playlist. I eat something really good. But above all, a decent honest laugh works wonders. Hang in there. People are rooting for you more than you know.

@CMReport I listened to the while thing, live. Usually I only read excerpts or a hear a clip. And ... he was incoherent. His mind skipped from fantasy to vindictiveness. He said he picked lawyers based on looks. He rambled about Ivanka while denouncing nepotism. It was nightmarish.

@ProtoApostoli The replies are diverse, so let me explain. The key distinction is between policies that are intrinsically evil and policies that involve prudential judgments. The former are always evil and must always be opposed. Abortion and euthanasia exemplify intrinsic evils.

Catholics: if you're voting democrat, how do you square their push for abortion with your Catholic faith? If you're voting republican, how do you square what's happening at the border with your Catholic faith? Both, how do you square perpetual war with your Catholic faith?
