With everything happening with everyone's governments around the world. Its making me wonder, if we should, as the people who gave rise to the countries we have today, perhaps we should all pay a lot more attention when laws are changed, removed or added.
Maybe we should take those changes a lot more seriously, we are starting to see that, this is what starts to happen when too much change, too quickly leads to.

If energy companies are going to earn massive profits from Australians’ sovereign resources, they should be taxed hard.

“These are Australian resources, and the Australian public deserves to share in these gains . . . When Australian consumers pay the price, Australians should share the profits,” said @spenderallegra Read the full piece on The Point: theaus.in/4deRzgL

@ChrisHeHim1 Your cheering for an 'expected' 10% drop after prices have risen by 50% because of these moronic policies...

Thanks to wind farms and batteries that One Nation and the LNP want to ban.
Power prices expected to fall by up to 10% from July, saving households hundreds and small businesses thousand+ to Australia’s east coast.

We’ve set up a new Fuel Supply Taskforce, led by Anthea Harris.
Working with states and territories, the taskforce will make sure fuel gets where it’s needed most.
It will bring together experts and industry to protect our fuel supply, and make sure we have the latest information on supply and demand.

It honestly unbelievable how individuals can be so moronic...
Ash@AshPolitik
It is clear that for both private & industrial transport in Australia to become energy independent, we need to electrify—& exponentially so. This is not about politics, climate change, feelings or ideology. It is rational pragmatism. We have rare earths, wind, sun and water!

@SenatorPayman I wonder if this is exactly how some people felt when people started doing cartoon skits in the news papers about politicians....

@ScottJenningsKY The word 'free' get thrown around way to often.
When people say 'free' they mean paid for by your taxes.

A 13 year old Asian girl has spoken up about being tortured and bullied for 5 hours at Kings Grove public School in Sydney by violent Muslims.
Just another example of why Islam is incompatible with the West.
How long until your son or daughter is their next victim?
This is happening all over the West.
Enough is enough 😡

We’re building a stronger, more resilient Australia - our way.
By investing in our people, ideas and industry, we’re making sure the economy works for every Australian.
In a globalised world, a fair deal for consumers depends on a level playing field for Aussie businesses.
That means backing local businesses to compete and grow.
That’s what I spoke about this morning at the AADA breakfast.

@DavidPocock How does reducing the potential profit of an asset help supply? If there is less potential profit the opposite will happen..
English

I've been pushing for the capital gains tax discount to be reduced to 25% & tied to new homes only.
This will help incentivise new supply which has flow-on benefits for ppl renting & makes it easier for first homebuyers.
We should also cap negative gearing to 1 property & reinvest revenue not foregone in new social & affordable homes.
These measures won't solve affordability on their own but will help, and they send a signal that 🇦🇺 wants housing to be accessible and affordable, not primarily an asset class for wealth creation.
