🚨#Education When to Buy and When to Avoid Call Options🚨 Pay attention, options buyers. I’m seeing this happen way too often, people buying calls, expecting instant gratification and then complaining when the move doesn’t happen overnight. Lately, we’ve seen some solid pullbacks across a lot of names, followed by good reversal flow and DP activity, all good signs. But here’s what most are missing: big money is buying contracts that expire 4-6months out. Think about that.🤔If institutions were expecting an immediate move, don’t you think they’d buy shorter dated contracts? Now look at this chart, notice the iHS (Part A) after that downtrend? You get a clean breakout and trend reversal. Then price pulls back to the neckline. Around that yellow star, you'd start seeing heavy flow like 13c dating 4months out and during Part B, DP activity will be super high. Sure, you can scalp those intraday moves on clean hourly trends and make money, but are you going to get that big run to the strike? 99% of the time, no. Are you going to catch those massive gains everyone dreams of? Definitely not. This phase is called accumulation for a reason. It’s when institutions quietly load their positions. Imagine I gave you $1M and told you to buy a stock that’ll double in a year, BUT, you can only buy $75K worth a day. Would you want it to rip right away? Of course not. You’d want it to stay steady so you can build your position. During accumulation, patience pays. Rolling short term calls through this phase is risky. The better play is to wait until the stock has based, consolidated and finally breaks out. That’s when call options make most sense, even if you’re paying a little more than the whales did, because now the setup is actually ready to move. continue....
