Just thinking about how this whole US-Iran conflict has gone. The same Iranian regime, just with a new figurehead. The Strait of Hormuz went from open… to closed… to open again. Fuel prices rose. Inflation is still working its way through the system. And ordinary people are left wondering: What, exactly, changed? A most curious case.

People tell me to “just buy an ETF.” Others say to concentrate into your highest conviction stocks. Meanwhile, I’ve built my own “Sherlock ETF” with 50+ holdings and the majority paying dividends. Genius or complete insanity? How many stocks do you own?

Been genuinely superb to connect with like minded people. Still lots to do

$V might be one of the best businesses ever created. People spend money. Visa takes a tiny cut. Repeat billions of times. My only concern? The next generation of payments may not play by the same rules. The moat looks enormous. I just wonder who is already building a bridge across it.

@Sausageland How does that differ to creating your own 50+ stock portfolio? Fully understand ETFs are maybe the most efficient but to deem this insanity is way off the mark.

@SherlockInvests Very few investors out perform a global index consistently. An ETF gives you exposure to thousands of companies across developed and emerging markets. If one company fails, it barely affects portfolio.

@financefraz Until I started engaging on here, very much so. I have been frustrated at solid fundamentals being less important than US Presidents tweets and price gauging. It was causing me alot of fatigue

Bit of an honest one... I've lost my mojo a little recently. Could be the markets, could be splitting time between X and Instagram, could be seeing the same content everywhere, or maybe it's just a down day. Then again, perhaps I'd feel better if I had some SpaceX in the portfolio 🚀😅 Sure it'll pass, but thought I'd be honest Anyone else feeling a bit "meh" lately?
