@TrevorSheatz @michaeljknowles @benshapiro dude just stop pimping your wife's trauma out for your social media business.
English

@michaeljknowles @benshapiro Thanks for responding, Michael.
But saying "He called her a whore" is describing my action in the past tense, but it's describing my writing of her immorality in the present tense, which is dishonest.
But again, I sincerely do not hold it against you.
God bless you, Michael.
English

Multiple times, @michaeljknowles said I called my wife a whore in my post (as did @benshapiro), even though I wrote "My wife was formerly promiscuous."
To my surprise, upon checking the original video, the top comments are now overwhelmingly condemning their response to our story of God's redemption (screenshot below).
Michael is now doubling-down on it on X by saying that me writing that she was formerly promiscuous is the same as calling her a whore (pic attached).
Here's the three primary issues with them saying I called my wife a whore, and why Michael's argument is wrong.
1. It isn't true. I never used the word "whore," so he shouldn't be telling people I called my wife this.
2. We instinctively know that "she was formerly promiscuous" carries with it much more grace than "she's a whore," because "promiscuous" is an adjective describing her past, whereas "whore" is a degrading noun, a slur used to speak harshly of women. They're similar words, but different in meaning and intent. They are not the same.
3. Crucially, they spoke in the present tense: "He called her a whore" (implying this is a present-tense sin issue, something she still is). I spoke in the past tense: "My wife was formerly promiscuous."
This tense difference matters immensely, especially when people greatly struggle to separate one's life before Christ from their life after Christ. The world can't fathom that such change can happen.
But the Bible is clear: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (1 Cor. 5:17).
Or consider Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."
That old Ashley is dead.
It's because of these truths that my wife and I choose to boldly, confidently, and without giving loads of explicit details, share the sins that stained us before Christ with others (for I am indeed a great sinner and struggle in many ways, too).
Our story isn't shared frequently, but at times and when fitting, so that other believers can be encouraged, other sinners can be given hope of redemption and forgiveness, and the lost can hear the good news of the gospel: that though all are headed for Hell for their sins (1 Cor. 6:9-10), anyone who repents and places their trust in the resurrected Christ will be saved (John 3:16, 18). Regardless of how much you've sinned, you can't out-sin the mercy of God. You can be washed clean, your shame and guilt removed, and you can have a brand-new identity in Jesus Christ (Titus 3:5-6). And we’re living proof of this!
I have no ill will against Michael, Ben, @andrewklavan, or anyone else for their remarks and mocking, nor do I demand an apology. I forgive them. My greatest desire for them and anyone who's following this story, as well as God's, is for them to "be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:4).

@farmingandJesus @AshleySheatz and did he tell people to monetize their spouses sin stories, or go and sin no more?
English

@Sp3llbreakers @AshleySheatz Tell God that. He gave us many testimonies in the Bible.
English

@farmingandJesus @AshleySheatz Which is bad yo
English

@farmingandJesus @AshleySheatz As a man I wouldn't put my wife's past sin on display. How is that in any way protecting his wife? It's exploitation,
English

@Sp3llbreakers @AshleySheatz You make assumptions and that’s wrong.

@Coralie4955 @erik_thorvalds @mario4thenorth So the Chinese soldiers with guns were protecting Albertan companies? Lol

@kangminlee Well Catholics have killed hundreds of millions so good reason to stay away.

@homemakinghunny It can also be tiring to see the pipeline of women who become hoes during their fertile years, only to be shamed into accepting their conversion to preferring good men at the 9th inning of their biological clock, millions of times a day.
English

I am tired. Tired of so called Christians acting like Christ’s redemption isn’t enough. Acting like we need to earn his forgiveness. Acting like his mercies aren’t new every morning. Acting like you’re better than someone just because you keep your sins hidden and they share how God radically saved them from their sin. Judging someone for sharing their testimony and how God saved them is so low and to say it simply - it doesn’t show the fruit of Christ in your life.
English

@RealJRHughes @JimStrabo Yes it's called cuckery. Which you now need to repent of
English

@JimStrabo Ahh, so a different set of rules around the same sin depending on your gender?
If only we had a term for that...
