Jesse Watters shared an analogy that really stuck with me. Loving your country doesn’t mean believing it’s perfect. Just like a parent can love their child while recognizing their flaws, you can celebrate America’s birthday while still wanting it to improve. That’s how I look at the Fourth of July. I’m proud of this country, grateful for the freedoms we have, and hopeful for what comes next. 🇺🇸

@CleansedTweets That is not how it worked at all, you would stay as long you wanted and pay the 20K max fine when leaving to return the same day or whenever wanted. There was no such thing as a visa subject, now they killed their economy.

In Thailand, I heard a wild story last night about old-school tourist visa runs. 20+ years ago, when your 30-day visa expired, you’d hand your passport to a guy named Mike at a bar in Silom. Pay 1,000 baht and he’d send it off in a batch to the Malaysian border, get it stamped, and return it, giving you another clean 30 days. Anyone else experience this back in the day? 👀
