This might actually be an “even-year” MTG curse with how 2022 went and how 2024 is going. Nevertheless, going to enjoy the gathering with great people. Forever grateful for the players I gather with.

Your apology does not seem genuine with how you are presenting yourself. I originally saw your first tweet and thought "Finally, a long overdue apology, we can all move on." I thought you finally realized what you did wrong and made amends with Brian. Then I read your other comments... I am not trying to continuously add fuel to the fire but after reading your additional comments to your post, it really just shows you do not understand the real reason why people are angry. It took you nearly 48 hours to come up with an apology that simply doesn't make sense. It makes me think that you are not genuinely sorry, you are just sorry that you got caught and called out. 1. You deflect and basically say that concessions are not a good thing for the game and shouldn't be allowed, as if this is a factor behind why you made such a heinous decision. But then you also say you will only engage in concessions/conversations with teammates, implying that this is okay if you know your opponent...? This all doesn't make sense. Your opinion on whether you think concessions should be allowed or not isn't relevant. It is the fact that you failed to keep your word and with how you are portraying the situation, you do not seem to be realizing that this is the ESSENTIAL problem. You broke a social contract with your opponent. It is irrelevant whether you knew your opponent or not. It is irrelevant whether you think it is healthy or not for the game. The only thing that is relevant is that you both agreed to terms and you went back on your word. This is not strictly limited to MTG. What you did was vile as a human being. You showed a lack of empathy towards another human being and this was further emphasized when you posted about the Valakut. 2. You mention it was harmful but I feel like you are only thinking that it was harmful to you and your reputation. You do not show any empathy towards Brian in any of your statements. You do not emphasize that you essentially prevented someone's dream of finally going to the Pro Tour because of your terrible decision. Everything you said was about you and what you think about the current system, not about what you did wrong to Brian. You need to assess your character, not the rules of the game. Going to the Pro Tour is an accomplishment by itself. It is a dream that some Magic players chase and never achieve. You robbed Brian of knowing what the Pro Tour feels like. You were corrupted by your own greed and ambition and you completely failed to realize the severity of your actions. 3. You say you want to make things right but I highly doubt that you even tried to offer compensation in any form to Brian to show that you are genuinely remorseful. I am assuming you just said something along the lines of "Sorry, I hope we can move forward from this situation." I hope you prove me wrong on this but the way you are portraying yourself suggests otherwise.

@ashame_mtg has been playing lights out for years. @ShawnDTCG my 🐐, Magic is just better when he is in the room. @EdgarMTG cooked up a storm and it was awesome to witness his process. I’m here for the redemption arc of @DanMac04359297. Grats on your top 8 friends, well earned.

I had a very humbling weekend with incredibly disappointing results at the Montreal RC. My prep was very lackluster, and some deck decisions bit me in the ass. Seeing well-deserving friends queue for Worlds and the PT does make for a great consolation prize though.

In the words of @spintopIRL, it’s a deck. Brought my lucky mat out this weekend, courtesy of @p1kachiu

@Walaoumpa I have never interacted with you before today….but I am a regular listener of The Karnies. @mengu09 and @mtgbentcard speak very highly of you. I must say, I really expected more. There are things we all want in life, but at what cost? I value integrity more than most.

@DynamoNestico None, Magic's enriched my life. I've made great friends, have had great times, and know how to balance it. Nowhere near addicted to it, just a hobby.
