$VG Qatar energy just confirmed strikes causing "extensive damage" on Ras Laffan. That's bad, as 20% of the world's LNG comes from there. They've indicated it will take around a month for full production once they resume, but that timeline might get longer.
Venture Global is now breaking out. Fantastic for this hedge, but not for my overall portfolio. And not for the world.
I'm not taking profits yet.

$VG The spread between TTF and Henry Hub, which Venture Global benefits from, is tremendous. It's around $13-14 MMBtu. The price action has actually been rather modest, bit on TTF and for $VG if the Hormuz situation isn't resolved soon.

Shipping rates for liquefied natural gas tankers are up 6x and have extended gains to touch three-year highs for trips across the Atlantic Basin. $LNG
Leasing an LNG tanker on a daily basis now costs $287,500, after rates shot up by more than six-fold compared with prices the Friday before the conflict began.
Soaring shipping rates will ultimately mean higher costs being passed down to importers and end-users, many of which are utilities in Europe and Asia that import the fuel for power generation.
