(5/6) Future police officers can recite the Police Honor Code as a part of their swearing in ceremony, while being joined in solidarity by current members of the police force as they ALL verbally, in unison reconfirm their commitment to following& upholding the Police Honor Code.

(4/6) If there is anything about this Police Honor Code that prevents police officers from performing their duties, then I hope that the Police Commissioners and police union leaders will speak up and let the nation know, so that appropriate adjustments may be made.

(3/6) To be clear, any police officer who violates the Police Honor Code is subject to disciplinary action up to and including job termination, arrest and prosecution.

(2/6) Therefore, if a police officer witnesses such behavior, the witness is required to report the observation within 24 hours to Senior Leadership within their police organization, and can be held similarly accountable if they fail to report their observation.
