I'm not condoning this picture. It's dumb, but how about Christians stop breaking the 2nd Commandment by making pictures of Jesus. If that were the case, maybe we would not have to see images like this.

@TobyLogsdon Agreed. Any pastor who clearly grasps the law/gospel distinction will be a more faithful preacher of God’s Word. Hopefully most people have a local pastor like this.

@Switz77 @nocoradio One anecdotal example would be 365 Days with Calvin. I’ve found many of the devotional selections are good and true, but gospel-less. Not Calvin’s fault, of course, but the editors!

I’ve noticed a trend: some Christians, often younger men, feel justified in speaking harshly or even maliciously about other believers because they think bad theology warrants it. It doesn’t. “The Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone… correcting his opponents with gentleness.” (2 Timothy 2:24–25) Truth never requires unchristlike behavior.

@lmt2683 @DefiantBaptist @pearlythingz If you look at the Bible, plenty of prostitutes were saved by God. Rahab was saved both spiritually and relationally. She was a part of Jesus' genealogy.
