I have chatted with a human assistant using PlayStation Support and indeed they have confirmed that the following news is true. The 30-Day Timer being applied to all new purchases is true

The new DRM on the PlayStation update is a disgrace to gaming, Sony should make a statement whenever this PlayStation Support message is real or faked. This issue with this 30-Day Timer being applied to all new purchases isn't about having an active internet connection, but the concept of ownership. Sony is taking the rights away from users who purchase their games digitally. If you go offline for more than 30 days, you're locked from playing a game that you bought with your own money. Your console shouldn't require an active online internet connection to verify the purchase or the validity of a video-game that you've purchased previously in my opinion.

As some of you pointed out, yes, everybody should keep an eye on the discovered PlayStation DRM timer until actually fixed. It might not have been activated on purpose this time, but it still exists. Similar thing Xbox rightfully got slaughtered for during the Xbox One reveal.

Received word from an anonymous insider. The Sony DRM issue is unintentional. From what we gathered, Sony accidentally broke something while fixing an exploit. They've known about the confusing UI for a while, but didn't see it as urgent. Hoping for a clarifying statement now.

@WalmartCanada Whatever new system you guys implemented to stop people from buy Pokemon cards is awful. It doesn't stop bots, it stop normal people from being able to buy anything. I hate it. Its making me never want to shop at Walmart again. I used to have no problem buying.

@InsiderGamingIG What happened on Playstation is not dynamic pricing... thats not what dynamic pricing means. Dynamic pricing is when something constantly fluctuates in prices based on demand and prices artistically increased when demand is high. None of that is happening here... awful article
