@JoeMerrick For people that want to spend money, I’m sure they will have packs in the future that give training tickets and recruitment tickets like the starter pack did, that way you’re saving thousands of VP for items/clothing/etc But for F2P people, yeah, once the BP is done, just grind

Battle Pass done. Missions done. Just Achievements and battles to get VP now and both are a grind. Once I'm done with my surplus, then we have a problem Classic mobile game strategy of overloading at first, then having it be harder to get as standard.

@PkScept They don’t transfer, they “visit”. Basically, Champions clone the pokemon from Home. If you don’t want to use them anymore, you can return them to Home from the Recruit menu in Champions. Then they’re free to move to another game.

@rubynesoberi Except every Pokemon available/allowed can be recruited in the Recruit section. You don’t need the other games. Champions throws tickets at you for recruiting permanently and training.

its a bit silly that champions is supposed to make VGC more accessible but if you want the best pokemon in the game you have to buy a different full-price game that has nothing to do with vgc and beat its grindy postgame

@TheKingVillager You’re only Master Ball Rank 4…there’s still 3 levels in Master Ball rank, and then Champion rank. Then there’s Singles with same ranking system. Still plenty to try and do.

@IceTrainerBen Have a surprise thunderbolt as coverage on someone who doesn't scream "electric type". That plus your main fire type damage dealer should wear it down eventually

What’s a good counter for Corviknight? It renders my Incineroar useless and I’m not sure what the best course of action is. Keep seeing it in my games 😭

@thatguyinabeani @xTGE_Youtube To be fair, the game does kind of throw training tickets at you and if you get the starter pack of $7, it gives you 50 training tickets which essentially lets you fully train 50 pokemon. I haven’t spent any VP on training (unless it’s less than 500 VP for what I need to do)

So i transferred a Charizard to Champions then remembered I forgot to update the moves on it. So i put it back into Home, then back onto Scarlet. Updated the moveset. And pushed it all the way back into Champions. The Charizard did not have my updated moves. Love this game

@KidayaG @AustinJohnPlays I’ve forfeited and it counted as a loss and I lost points, so that is definitely not the case.

@AustinJohnPlays Forfeit apparently gives a draw instead of a loss, that's why so many are spamming it

The amount of people who forfeit when things start going not their way, even at high ultra ball rank, is kinda crazy.

@PhillyBeatzU You can return them to home through the recruit menu in Champions though…? There’s a button that literally says Return 🤔

It's late enough at night I feel comfortable saying this. Never will understand the appeal of Gengar. I truly didn't realize just how popular of a Pokémon it was until I saw these GameStop promo prices. Just a fat purple blob. Haunter and Duskull clear as Ghost Pokémon. 👻

@thatguyinabeani @ItsAPaxton But with IVs not a thing anymore, genned monsters won’t really matter anymore right? We still don’t know (I think) if EVs will come over from Home and be translated into skill points?

@ItsAPaxton I’ll assume you are referring to genning and reply in good faith. You can still gen mons in previous games and bring them in through Home. That is not going away, nor is the difficulty of bringing genned mobs into home impacted in any way.

Pokemon Champions is a server side game. There is no local wireless option to play it. The Pokemon don’t live on your switch they live on Pokemon Champions servers. Even when battling between 2 switches, you need internet. I’m not defending anything. Just stating facts

@ryankirbz I spent a lot of time with ZA and enjoyed every minute…until I got to the dlc. The whole donut grind is rough. Love the concept of the alternate dimension tho.

I’ve been trying so hard to force myself to finish Pokemon ZA because I spent $70 on it, but I think it’s simply not a good game. Pretty bad actually.
