I am so setback by this ending to what I hoped to be an important new beginning for Iran, absent the theocracy death wish crooked regime. I envisioned a Middle East where people all over the world would want to visit. Not just the countries that have always had heavy tourism, like Eygpt and Israel, but all the countries. That the young people in those countries who so grave to be part of the modern world would blossom and contribute great inventions and ideas to all the world. Spot on. The New Deal and the modern welfare state did create long-term dependency traps that hurt Black communities (and many others) more than they helped. True progress comes from equal rules, strong families, self-reliance, and merit, not perpetual government ‘help’ that keeps people down while claiming to lift them up. Both parties have ugly chapters in their history, but the current Democrat approach of grievance + handouts + open borders has done real damage. Facts over Kool-Aid every time.

i'll go a step further. The new deal was just a new way to keep Black people under control by the Democrat party. Literally they can't have you as their slaves so they'll just tell you you aren't good enough without them. Without them to take care of you you're not capable. They'll give you handouts. They'll give you jobs to tell you good boy, but they won't treat you as they're equal. Republicans on the other hand, believe all people are equal and all people earn what they get.
