The Supreme Court has refused to hear a man on death row's appeal for a DNA test on a murder weapon. Rodney Reed was convicted for the murder of Stacey Stites, but he says the belt that was used to strangle her was never tested for DNA and he accuses her fiance (former police officer Jimmy Fennell) of the murder. Fennell was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman in his custody while he was a cop. During his time in prison, several of his fellow inmates claimed that Fennell confessed to killing Stacey Stites. Stites was white and Reed is Black. Inmates said Fennell was angry about an interracial affair between the 2 and bragged about the murder. Unless he's granted clemency or a pardon, the state of Texas will execute Rodney Reed without the world ever knowing whether it was his or Fennell's DNA on the murder weapon. This is so messed up.

Columbus police were dispatched on a so‑called “high‑risk” call. An unarmed Black woman stepped out of the car with her hands up. Seconds later, she was slammed face‑first into the pavement. This is what “routine” looks like for Black people in America: guns drawn first, questions never. There is no justification for taking a compliant woman and driving her head into the concrete. That’s not “procedure.” That’s excessive force. We need answers: – Why was this level of force used on a woman who was already surrendering? – What specific policy allegedly authorizes this takedown? – What consequences will this officer face? I represent families all over this country who have lost loved ones after encounters that started just like this. We will not wait for another funeral to demand accountability. I have stage 4 endometriosis. Today I've been in absolute agony with nausea, hips, back, even my shoulders in pain. This disease is brutal, chronic, incurable and it exclusively affects women. And yet, once again, a biological male, LARPing as a woman, has been appointed as a spokesperson/representative for endometriosis. Women are being erased from our own suffering. Our pain, our bodies, our disease. OURS!! Appointing a man, who can NEVER experience this isn't inclusion, it's invalidation. We deserve advocates who actually live this reality. This is NOT ok!
