This is all you have to know going forward: The majority of crypto is a scam and the cat’s out of the bag. Even the few projects that are legit and heavily utilized have tokens that are horrible investment vehicles - extractive tokenomics, governance theater, or forced utility that adds no real value. Traditional finance is rushing to innovate by utilizing blockchain’s unique capability: atomic cross-institution settlement that eliminates counterparty risk and frees up trillions in trapped capital. They don’t need public chains. They don’t need DeFi speculation. They need privacy-enabled infrastructure that lets Goldman atomically settle with JPM without seeing each other’s positions. Canton Network is the only architecture solving this - programmable privacy + atomic composability at production scale. Goldman, DTCC, BNP Paribas already routing real transactions through it. DTCC launching Treasury settlement in 2026. Every atomic settlement across institutions requires burning $CC. Not optional. Not extractive. Mandatory utility - you literally cannot use the Global Synchronizer without it. Currently burning 14% of market cap annually at $6B FDV. When DTCC scales this, when repo markets route through it, when equity settlement follows - the burn rate could exceed the market cap multiple times over.
