@crazysnownight @LargeAtz @Clevta Saying Mendoza struggled against good competition is interesting to say the least. Did you watch any of the postseason?
English

Ok maybe I should take it back. This is some bull shit sheesh
Pat McAfee@PatMcAfeeShow
Fernando Mendoza is QB1 #PMSLive
English

@crazysnownight @LargeAtz @Clevta It’s laughable because he’s saying that while propping up a guy that was a whole lot worse than Mendoza was against real competition.
English

@The_Real_McCoy @Hamptonian10 @geoffschwartz You’re not worthy of a real rebuttal. You got what you wanted and it ended up being your program’s most embarrassing loss of the 21st century
English

So the best kept secret in this draft is that Simpson is QB1 and no one knew about this until yesterday?
@
Dan Orlovsky says he texted 12–15 GMs/decision-makers that Alabama QB Ty Simpson is the best QB in the draft, and only 2 disagreed. (🎥 @PatMcAfeeShow)
English

@Jeb_Steel @RCatron11 @WolverineChron LMAO, I’ve truly seen it all. There’s no way you seriously think Purdue winning 1 title makes them a blue blood right?
English

@RCatron11 @WolverineChron The program the most tourney wins without a title, one of the most impressive resumes of the last decade, if we win a title, we are in the convo... Some coaches already consider Purdue a blue blood...
English

@MikeC1018 @LSafare @blake_byers19 @SleeperCFB Your QB also threw a meatball sub with the game on the line
GIF
English

@LSafare @blake_byers19 @SleeperCFB I know my QB had a TD and over 200 yards. Plus those rushing yards you said who scored 2 TD from this stat I don't see any TDs

English

@Rian_Leand @rob66782 @BrooksAustinBA @bbbullet_2 You people don’t know how to use AI and take whatever bs it spits out as some unquestionable truth. You’d rather use crappy AI and be wrong to pretend like you know what you’re talking about than taking a little time to do some simple research

English

King Kirby i will continue defending your name as the Top Dawg!

@XxBAMAxX256 @kingkongistvan @BrooksAustinBA @PrideBuckeye Did Indiana run a ton of RPO? Yes. But saying it was the only offense Mendoza ran at Indiana is simply not true.
taylor from bite-sized bison@ByTaylorL
NFL Draft folks continue to note that Fernando Mendoza ran an RPO offense, when listing points of concern. But Mike Shanahan called RPOs on just 24% of Indiana’s offensive plays (passed on 44% of those plays). Mendoza knows how to run an offense outside of RPO.
English

@kingkongistvan @BrooksAustinBA @PrideBuckeye Lol see the problem is Indiana whole offense was based off of the RPO , most nfl teams don't just build their teams around RPO
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 Once again coming from somebody that has absolutely nothing to reminisce about
English

@_BigLoad @danorlovsky7 Keep reminiscing on 2006. That was 20 years ago
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 -Fan of a franchise that has done absolutely nothing in the postseason

@RobbySabo Question: how do you people think Indiana was able to go 16-0 without legitimate high tier NFL prospects?
Obviously the overarching story is about the coaching, but Indiana doesn’t win the natty with Ty Simpson playing QB.
English

I think this is the best way to explain it to folks who love Fernando Mendoza: Indiana’s offense was designed to freeze the pass rush at every turn, and they were brilliant at it. Because their coaching was so dominant, their rush-dominant, heavy designed, three-step, RPO offense limits the number of legitimate evaluation opportunities when evaluating Mendoza, and THAT is the thing not mentioned enough.

It’s extremely though to get a full read on him bc of that (the insane advantage he enjoyed all year within that RPO-dominant system).
Correct, there’s nothing in between for him (related to pressure): It’s either quick/designed (which he’s brilliant with), OR he bails too quickly while looking to extend (in a backyard type of way). And yeah, that’s a grave concern of mine — overall pocket feel and how he handles traffic around him.
Can I see him having NFL success? Absolutely. Today’s NFL doesn’t require a Marino talent to have success, plus Kubiak is a stud.
Gun to my head, I’d also take Simpson over Mendoza, BUT if I’m the Jets, I’m avoiding a Round 1 QB this year. The QB class, in general, is just too weak, too risky (imo). It’s just not worth the investment, and other guy, at the top of the draft.
Dan Orlovsky@danorlovsky7
IMO-Ty Simpson is the best QB in this draft
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 Poverty ass franchise will never reach these heights. Congrats on those regular season wins though!
GIF
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 You got it. Going 16-0 was a major fluke and that team actually wasn’t great. Enjoy the Texans being poverty
English

@_BigLoad @danorlovsky7 1. LSU had already won 2 nattys before that one. With 2 different coaches
2. They beat 7 top 10 teams that year.
So it wasn’t a 1 year thing they were an established program
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 LSU went 15-0 and were immediately heralded as one of the greatest teams and seasons ever while cementing themselves back as a top tier program. Thank you for proving my point
English

@_BigLoad @danorlovsky7 They added more teams so they got to 16 wins. Cool. You’re talking like lsu didn’t just go 15-0 in 2019
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 Being 16-0 natty champs is more than a “good year” man😂
Your ability to downplay something that hasn’t happened since the 1800s is truly commendable, I aspire to be a delusional hater like you. Plus it’s been more than 1 good year
English

@_BigLoad @danorlovsky7 Does it? Or does it warrant a good year?
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 Typically going 16-0 and being Natty Champs warrants that distinction
English

@_BigLoad @danorlovsky7 Then how could IU be considered a top program?
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 That’s fair, but you sitting here acting like playing @ Iowa isn’t a big challenge also shows your bias. They did beat Vanderbilt after all (who people wanted in the CFP). Welcome to the age of super conferences, teams will now have weaker schedules than before.
English

@_BigLoad @danorlovsky7 Hence why I said Oregon is the only team they played last year in the regular season that was good. Penn state fired their coach and it took a miracle catch to beat them. And being a better program vs having a better team one year is two different things
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 And again, Cignetti is never going to be a top HS recruiting class kind of guy. He’s very open about how he values production over potential. But you don’t know what you’re talking about so you’ll latch on to that because you think it supports your shit narrative
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 Wdym? @ Oregon and @ PSU (aren’t they a better program than IU?) are some of the toughest road games you can possibly get. Not to mention playing at Iowa (aren’t they also a better program than IU?). Every top matchup they had was either on the road or a neutral site
English

@_BigLoad @danorlovsky7 Beating Ohio state was impressive. But let’s not act like they didn’t have an easy regular season schedule
English

@beltwayboyz @danorlovsky7 His 2nd recruiting class at Indiana is already top 30 to go along with the #1 portal class. The HS recruiting is only going to continue to get better. He just won a natty with the 72nd ranked talent composite, he doesn’t care about recruiting stars over production.
English

@_BigLoad @danorlovsky7 It’s not sustainable. Currently 30 in he recruiting
