@murasaki_akio @SaGa_NeilB depends on the engine of course but godot for example supports BBcode so you can put images in labels by just changing an option on the label and using the [img] tag in the label's text

@SaGa_NeilB Out of curiosity, does it actually work without needing to change game code? In JP these things would be simple text fields, but unicode codes for these aren't always rendered into an icon.

Localization sometimes doesn’t even need words. Cramped UI space means that something like “fire resistance” on a stat screen in JP can simply be one kanji (火),but you can’t do that with only one letter in EN, so we use an icon like 🔥 instead.

@NunuFxx @gdechichi @unity the knowledge is very transferrable once you learn one so I'd say just get a quick feel for the ones you're interested in and see which one you like best based on that, or even just go based on the ui

every time, with no exception, that I post a comparison against @unity I get this more features do not excuse bad performance. Unity is slow because they wrote slow code.

@gdechichi @unity Right, it's a physics engine, with add-ons. You lose performance as you add features. Just the way it is. I was just wondering why the comparison. Unity has way more features, so it's going to be slower. But I get it now. This is an ad. Sorry I didn't realize that.

@StayAtHomeDev there are just 3 i really want; color coded region comments, a ModulateTexture type (for themes), and for the debugger session tabs to say the multiplayer id so it's easier to debug

havent had time this week to work on the game all that much because of life things so i probably won't post a clip for a couple more days, but i've decided to branch out into either a co-op puzzle game or an arcade pvp game so we'll see how it goes :]

@stupidtechtakes i must be the only person who hasn't had any problems with audio on linux and I do music production and play guitar through vst plugins and i used a lot of things like daws, trackers, some weird programs like akaizer through wine, etc, etc and everything just works
