If there is one project by @WilliamsRuto that I ever believed in it is affordable housing. I deposited Ksh180,000 which the system prompted me to, an equivalent of the 5% of Ksh3.5M for a 3 bedroom house. After two days I visited the website and noticed that the amount had gone up to Ksh4.1M and I am required to add an additional Ksh20k for the deposit. The process of applying for these houses is lengthy and difficult and I wonder how ordinary mwananchi will manage. @BomaYangu_NRB @NationAfrica

Spoke on phone with H.E Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability of the United Arab Emirates this evening. He apprised me on the gravity of the situation in the region, and in particular the repercussions of IRGC’s unjustified attacks of critical infrastructure of GCC countries on not only civilian security, but economic and environmental security of the Globe. I conveyed to him Kenya’s solidarity- in line with President Ruto’s well stated position on this matter- and assured him of our readiness to work with the UAE to respond through diplomatic means to this escalating situation. @ForeignOfficeKE

Wueh! Today, we have witnessed something very unfortunate. The President of the Republic, the Head of State has stooped so low as to insult and body shame a fellow Kenyan. And not just any Kenyan, but a man who has remained consistently respectful to him in his public engagement, even while raising critical questions of national importance. Instead of addressing Fred Matiang’i’s very valid concern as to why the State House budget has ballooned to Ksh 17 billion, even as capitation to schools is reduced, and as our national referral hospitals struggle with broken equipment and inadequate support for patients, the response we get is insults? This is a new low, even by the standards we have unfortunately come to expect. All in all, Matiang’i’s question still stands, untouched by insults and distractions. What exactly is Ksh 17 billion at State House being used for?
