“Is it safe for Jews to ride the Bakerloo line? “Not when I’m driving.” This is revolting and plainly runs counter to the most basic expectations of public transport. Already over two thirds of British Jews do not feel comfortable disclosing their identity on public transport. We have seen confirmation that the driver has been identified and suspended whilst TfL carries out an investigation. We thank @TfL for intervening quickly, and expect that, if the interaction in the footage is borne out, his employment will be terminated.

There is a way for genuine advocacy for Palestinians, and then there is an obsession with Jewish people dressed up as solidarity.
A movement genuinely advocating for Palestinian human rights should consider its actions by their effect on Palestinian lives, and by that measure, this protest is a total failure before it even begins.
The memory of six million murdered Jews and Buchenwald's anniversaries are not opportunities to be used in such a way, and a movement that consistently chooses Jewish grief or memorials as its preferred arena for activism will be doomed to fail. The German court that moved this demonstration to Weimar made the right call.
