So Wendy's in the GTA will be serving halal chicken only. Having visited several chicken processing facilities over the years and understanding how the process works, I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about. If you don't want halal chicken, just don't go.

I have not seen anybody talking about what’s going on in Canada right now. This man was pulled over and told by police that he had to come with them because a psychiatrist labeled him “certifiable.” No paperwork, no rule of law, just a doctor saying that if he didn’t come with him right then and there that he would be arrested. The fact that a government could do this is terrifying.

BREAKING: Canada’s food inflation rate dropped to 3.5% in April. Food prices in stores rose 3.8% year-over-year, still a full percentage point above the general inflation rate. Food inflation has now outpaced overall inflation for more than a year — every month since March 2025.

This panelist on The Social believes Dunkin’ Donuts will fail in Canada simply because it’s an American company, while the same show has spoken positively about Costco several times over the years — and often this year as well. Costco is also an American company. One thing she did say that was right: Canada has changed. It’s almost like a country experiencing economic puberty.
