Please join me in congratulating the 38 selected artists from the @thehugxyz Arts & Healing exhibit in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. These artists will be featured from May 1-31 at the @crypt_gallery in @DreamDWTN (NY) or @DreamHollywood (LA) hotels in partnership with @peaceinsidelive With a total of 574 art submissions, curating this exhibit was no easy feat. I spent countless hours reviewing the art, its description, and the story of the artist who created them. To say I was moved by each one is an understatement. The breadth of topics covered in this curation include ADHD, anorexia, anxiety, autism, body positivity, cancer, chronic illness, darkness, depression, dreamscape, duality, embodiment, grief, gun violence, healing, heartbreak, inner self, inspiration, legacy, loneliness, loss, nuerodivergence, pandemic, peace, ancestral roots, PTSD, self discovery, self esteem, survival, transformation, war. It is also exciting to see so many countries represented including Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Ghana, Iran, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Philippines, Spain, and the U.S. I will be spotlighting each of the 38 artists throughout the month of May.
