@_JBame I hope you're right. What we saw today was NOT OU softball. If we come out and run-rule them by double-digits, we'll be OK. Otherwise, I fear the damage will be done and maybe we crawl out of Regionals, but no further.

Just flush it. There is little to nothing to learn from whatever just happened. Time to regroup and plan for the punch back.

@JTWood92570334 Easy to say in hindsight. Fact is, 99 gave up two weak grounders (what more could you ask) that luckily got through, then the ump didn't give her the strike 3. Played the percentages and 3 times in a row they should have paid off, but didn't.

@OUoutsider55 Yes that was a team not ready to play today. The meltdown is real some saying they will finish 4th now. They win 1 game clinch share of SEC win 2 outright champs. The sky is falling if you read comments.

@discGolfZulu @SethOliveras Yes I agree super unlucky for Miali. But also on the flip side we only need 1 win to clinch and I really don’t see this team laying over 14 inning tomorrow and I don’t think A&M has the the pitching to be able to shut this team down for 14 either.

@SethOliveras Eh. Don't overreact. Two seeing eye singles got it tied, the ump's zone was as awful as I've seen this year... Guachino fighting it all the way. Doesn't get that strikeout call. (Only then the one, timely, actually well-struck hit.) Lot of unlucky coin-flips in a row

In my 15 years of watching OU Softball, this is probably the least prepared I've ever seen the Sooners. Just inexcusable. The Aggies faced the exact same circumstances and let it galvanize them. Quite the opposite from Oklahoma. Still a chance to make up for it, but this has been highly disappointing.

And with barker I’m in complete agreeance that maybe Dayton or Parker should get some more looks at 3rd. She’s amazing but it’s been a roughy offensive season for her

You bring her in as a pinch hitter...or, if you are going to start her then put her down around 7th in the order. I totally agree she's great, but you already have Barker who's pretty much an automatic out most of the time at this point...throwing another one into the lineup can get hairy is all I'm saying.

@SoonerRecluse @melville98312 @OU_Softball And so obviously the game wasn’t called last night and it was just halted for the weather delay like every other game that’s put in weather delay. And that can all be insinuated by the fact both team made post about this game being delayed and potentially resumed last night.

@ctrckp @melville98312 @OU_Softball That’s the thing, the called game rule doesn’t mention ANYTHING about whether or not the game could be resumed. It simply says it MUST be called.

@jackcantalkthai @OU_Softball But you don't put Pickering right behind Wells in this situation. Wells needs to be protected...and Pickering is an automatic out at this point. Like I stated, Patty is the GOAT but it doesn't mean she always makes the right decision.

It’s been played like this for decades and you have gone on a tangent on how unfair it is when this is how it’s always been done

@SoonerRecluse @OU_Softball We are one of the best softball programs in the country we do not need coddling to win a softball game. The game was played fairly under the same circumstances any other team would have played under.

@SoonerRecluse @OU_Softball There have been plenty of games played the next day mid game why should it be different for our girls. The rule that has ALWAYS been followed is that the game is called if it CANT be resumed. This is not a conversation if we were losing at this point last night

@TaylorReber_ @SethOliveras No other game gets called every team is always given the option to finish. We have up a new set of rules for our girls. Pitching should’ve been better but the game should have rightfully been played this way

@SethOliveras If anything, it was not same circumstance. It just helps the team that was losing, to reset… game should have been called last night. Period.

@SoonerRecluse @OU_Softball So instead of winning the usual way you’re ok with the Sooners getting the default win. I’m a huge Sooner softball fan but this is the way every delayed game is played. They didn’t change the rules for A&M and obviously this game was able to finished hence the loss we just took

@ctrckp @OU_Softball Re-read it. The score is what it was after the last equal inning played. OU was ahead after the 5th inning so the score would’ve been what it was after the end of the 5th.

@OU_Softball The terrible coaching job by somebody that should know better. She’s got six or seven pictures on her team they don’t have to play you got one good picture and that’s it the rest of our shit if she doesn’t realize that before the tournament comes to and barbecue for the sooners.
