Had an interesting conversation today with a friend who is an architect. He talked about the coming wave of AI architecture and how he sees the writing on the wall for his profession. Within a few years, every building, every physical space may be designed by a computer.

I would affirmatively further fair housing by eliminating all FAR, lot occupancy, building height, unit quantity, unit size, and parking requirements on all residential parcels in all communities throughout the country.

@JodyBrownArch Personally, designing renovations are harder than ground up, especially if historic or other zoning restrictions. Easiest are projects with the same client. Once you are on the same wavelength, designing the next project with the knowledge gained from the last is invaluable.

What the hardest building type to architect? What's the easiest?

Original 1990s renderings for the Silver Spring Transit Center. You gotta love the ambition.

Here’s a thought to replace F.P. Santangelo as the color analyst on MASN: Brian Schneider. The original Nats catcher is a good talker, has deep ties to the franchise and has coached with the Marlins and Mets, so has an intimate knowledge of the division and league. Intriguing.

@maustermuhle This TDF has been very exciting to watch, with GC, Jersey and stage race competitions. Ineos just doesn’t have a rider at the level of Pogachar. Roglic only completion and he abandoned. I think the crashes have effected Jumbo the most, but silver lining to see Vingegard grow

Some thoughts on the Tour de France, which is more than half done: Tadej Pogacar is simply dominant, and I’ve been watching cycling long enough to be nervous about doping. Mark Cavendish; what else can one say? I’d love to see him break Eddy Merckx’s record for stage wins.
