Primary and Secondary schools teachers, we’ve got something exciting planned for this International Women’s Day… We’re proud to be part of the Girls Can! – Great Big Live Assembly this International Women’s Day ✨ On 3 March, primary and secondary schools across the UK are invited to join a special live assembly celebrating the courage and resilience of girls from Afghanistan, including the legendary Afghan Girls’ Robotics Team. We’re especially excited that Roya Mahboob, one of the first female tech CEOs in Afghanistan, will be featured in the assembly. Her extraordinary journey has inspired the feature film Rule Breakers, based on her life. We’re delighted that Becky Patel, Head of Education at Tech She Can, will be joining Gemma Hunt and @krishk from Sanctuary Foundation to talk about why International Women’s Day matters, and why it’s so important that we actively work to ensure more underserved girls see a future for themselves in technology. When girls are denied education, the world loses talent. When girls are given access, visibility and belief - they build, innovate and lead.
