@renoomokri One would think that you'll take some time-out to go leak your wounds over the battering you received of recent but also, the shameless cannot be, shamed.

Someone who did not even get a credit in mathematics insists that Nigerian art students must pass mathematics during WAEC before they can gain admission into a university. That means Peter Obi should return his certificate to UNN. By his own admission, he did not merit his admission. President Tinubu is giving you student loans to facilitate your university dreams, while Obi is placing roadblocks in your way. If you are an art student, vote for Peter Obi at your own risk! #TableShaker

I have been briefed on the senseless bloodletting in Benue State. Enough is enough! I have directed the security agencies to act decisively, arrest perpetrators of these evil acts on all sides of the conflict, and prosecute them. Political and community leaders in Benue State must act responsibly and avoid inflammatory utterances that could further increase tensions and killings. This is the time for Governor Alia to act as a statesman and immediately lead the process of dialogue and reconciliation that will bring peace to Benue. Our people must live in peace, and it is possible when leaders across the divides work together in harmony and differences are identified and addressed with fairness, openness and justice. ~ PBAT

After 5 hours no one has been able to give empirical facts about how USAID funding bokoharam. No real evidence just some mention by Perry a congressman and Nigerians are speculating. I can now see why politicians deceive Nigerians so easily. We have built a society that feeds on conspiracy theories and misinformation not an inquisitive mind. Except we change we will be easily manipulated. I can now see why the Russian propaganda and other forms of propaganda sell so well in Nigeria. There is a lot of mental slavery! I am not saying Americans are saints but we must speak to facts always. I see a lot of conspiracies pushed around and Nigerians just lap them up.

6 Communication skills every doctor needs to build trust with patients. Most patients barely get through their first sentence before being interrupted by their doctor—on average, just 18 seconds into the conversation. This constant interruption can derail the flow of information and leave patients feeling unheard. Here’s how to turn that quick interruption into a memorable consultation: 1. Make Eye Contact: Show you're truly present and engaged. 2. Practice Empathetic Listening: Hear beyond the words—understand their concerns and emotions. 3. Avoid Judgment: Let them speak without fear of being dismissed or corrected. 4. Ask Open-Ended Questions: Encourage fuller, more revealing answers. 5. Use Plain Language: Swap out the jargon for simple, clear explanations. 6. Validate Understanding: Ensure they grasp what’s being discussed by having them recap and reflect on it. Think of communication as a bridge—not a barrier. Build that bridge with your patients, and you’ll find that the care you deliver is not only more effective but also more compassionate.

Saving Lives Every Day, But Who’s Looking Out for Ours? After a gruelling 24-hour shift, I was back covering the emergency department the next day, with another 8 hours to go before handover. In the early hours, my registrar called for help—a woman was brought to the labor ward, bleeding. We rushed into emergency surgery. While in the theater, dizziness hit me hard. I was lightheaded and struggling to focus, and my colleagues had to step in and support me. I was grateful for their help, but once I recovered, the questions started swirling in my mind: What’s the point of reaching the top if it costs me my health, my family, and my sanity? I still can’t wrap my head around how doctors are expected to function after a 36-hour shift, followed by another day without rest, hungry, and barely able to brush their teeth. How can anyone think this is sustainable? It’s inhumane. What’s worse is, after all that, we’re still broke at the end of the month. The system seems to think that because older generations of doctors suffered through it, the younger ones should too. But we’re human, with families and lives to live outside the hospital. Would you trust a pilot who hasn’t slept in 36 hours to fly your plane? That’s exactly what resident doctors do—except we’re responsible for people’s lives. Many leave the profession, not because they don’t want to help others, but because the working conditions are unbearable. I don’t know the solution, but if you’re reading this, maybe you have an idea. You don’t have to be a doctor to see that this isn’t right—you just have to be human. Please share this message. Maybe together, we can spark the change that’s so desperately needed.

@DrYahyaMS Don't wait for the system to save you. If you need a brake seek one immediately - and be unapologetic about it. The health we strive to give is 3 dimensional: physical, mental and social and that applies to you too.

Some people argue that using fraud to win political positions is clever . Some inNigeria believe by buying everyone and not playing by the rule is the way to go. Let’s see how this Hobbesian state our politicians want to build will end. Like Cold play says in the Viva la vida Album, track title Lost, “ if you are a big fish in a little pond doesn’t mean you have won because along may come a bigger on. So if you think you have the bigger monopoly of violence today, Remember there will be more violent people.

I heartily congratulate Nigerian workers on the auspicious occasion of Workers' Day, held annually to celebrate the lifeblood of our country. I salute Nigerian workers for their fidelity to the peace, progress, and development of the nation, evident in their tireless efforts and patriotic zeal to keep the national engine running. I celebrate Nigerian workers across all spheres—from the clerical officer who ensures the proper documentation and distribution of correspondence; the security officer who remains ever dutiful through all seasons; the teacher who secures the future of our nation by imparting knowledge to the next generation; the doctor who works relentlessly to save precious lives, and to all Nigerian workers who keep the candle aflame. I affirm that my administration remains committed to improving the welfare of all workers, noting the various relief programmes, including the wage award and the imminent minimum wage review. I strongly believe that the custodians of the nation's machinery deserve a fair wage and enhanced welfare, and that a labourer is deserving of not just any reward but fair and commensurate wages. I assure Nigerian workers of my dedication to not only improving their welfare but also enhancing their working conditions and providing the necessary tools for them to succeed. I wish Nigerian workers a Happy May Day celebration

My brother, I suggest you drop that argument because it will not help your case. 1. The UK economy is way stronger than Nigerias economy, yet they pay that little with much taxes 2. Secondly, why use a banker and not an average workforce in Nigeria. But even on your banker argument, have you set your eyes on any banker looking like his suffering? If yes why are people killing themselves to get a job in banks. Do you even know the benefit naija bankers enjoy? 3.The part of owing salaries is criminal and cannot be supported, but not bankers pls; because they get paid before the month end. 4. Fianlly, why would the UK recruit immigrant graduates into inhuman jobs and make their citizens who are secondary school dropouts to supervise the Nigerian graduate? 5. Do you even know the immigration proposals of Rishi Sunak aimed at hurting the very immigrants keeping their economy afloat? Oga, thank God for your country, and lets work to build it, let us not allow neo-colonialism becloud out sense of judgment. The western world are robbing Africa, its resources and its people like bandits. President Tinubu is better than Rishi Sunak. Peter Obi and Atiku are all better than Rishi Sunak. Let us rally round and recover our countries and continent from these global resource looters by the west.

Food inflation is global ohh. This small bottle of palm oil is sold for £20 pound sterling, I.e 38k naira. Hair cut na 45k for london. The good news is that it is projected that global food inflation will drop by the end of this year. So cheer up my people. For those Naija people in the US and UK cursing @officialABAT on social media, what they are not telling you is that im the UK they can’t wait to chase Rishi Sunak and in the US, you already know what’s up with Joe Biden. There is no perfect president or perfect democracy, let nobody fool you. forget the noise, your presidential candidate could have done worse President Tinubu is working hard to find solutions to our problems created over decades of Mal-administration Let us have faith in our country and our leaders and offer solutions rather than insults.
