@HITBOXKING Cualquier grafica potente a dia de hoy tiene un encoder lo suficientemente bueno para competir con slow de CPU y es hardware dedicado asique no come recursos del chip principal, lo del doble pc tenia sentido hace 10 años

Me quiero montar un PC para hacer streaming en España. Estoy bastante cansado del setup de doble PC y mi idea es montarme un turbo pepino para poder maximizar FPS mientras hago stream de cualquier juego. Tiene que ser una bestia (y si, se que no es el mejor momento por las RAMs pero es lo que hay..) Me haceis alguna sugerencia de que componentes comprar exactamente? Y en que tienda online me recomendariais hacerlo? Gracias de antemano ❤️

It’s been a week since we announced Divinity, our next RPG, and a lot has become lost in translation. Larian’s DNA is agency. Everything we work towards is to the benefit of our teams, games, and players. A better work day, and a better game. Our successes come from empowering people to work in their own way and bring the best out of their skill & craft, so that we can make the best RPGs we can possibly make. In that context, it would be irresponsible for us not to evaluate new technologies. However, our processes are always evolving, and where they are not efficient or fail to align with who we are, we will make changes. To give you more insight, we’ll do an AMA featuring our different departments after the holiday break, in which you’ll get the opportunity to ask us any questions you have about Divinity and our dev process directly. We’ll announce the date in the new year. In the meantime, I wish you all happy holidays!

i'm ngl, i am now incredibly hesitant to own or play any games outside of what i already own that released/will release after ~2022, because at this point i don't know if there's any way to verify that they haven't made with the assistance and use of generative AI.

incredibly, unbelievably disappointing, and especially with the focus in e33 towards artistic expression and creativity. just brutal. i'd love more clarity on *how* it was used and to what degree, as there is a difference between machine learning and generative ai. if they were straight up generating assets or concept art, even as placeholders, i don't like it

@ErrorCode_422 @ScottJund Well this will make other companies to not disclose their process to create games. Because you guys are black or white, which isn't realist. All companies use AI I can guarantee you that, at least for code.

@diazprogramming @ScottJund I don't think they're using it in an ethical way, since it's not designed ethically. It's trained using stolen datasets. That's the issue. Being open about it doesn't automatically makes it ethical.

I think most Gen AI is absolute trash but the main complaint is that it puts artists out of jobs but Larian specifically said they hired even MORE concept artists that willingly use AI in some minor form to help them conceptualize so idk, seems fine for the most part.

@ScottJund That would be great but so far ethical AI is not profitable enough for the nvidia gang. More than that I see devs putting an AI-free label on their games, and hopefully people will favor that. On the other hand people still play CoD so gamers can't be trusted. Future is grim

Holy fuck guys we’re not "pushing hard" for or replacing concept artists with AI. We have a team of 72 artists of which 23 are concept artists and we are hiring more. The art they create is original and I’m very proud of what they do. I was asked explicitly about concept art and our use of Gen AI. I answered that we use it to explore things. I didn’t say we use it to develop concept art. The artists do that. And they are indeed world class artists. We use AI tools to explore references, just like we use google and art books. At the very early ideation stages we use it as a rough outline for composition which we replace with original concept art. There is no comparison. I talked about how we use ML here if you would like to know more: gamespot.com/articles/baldu… We've hired creatives for their talent, not for their ability to do what a machine suggests, but they can experiment with these tools to make their lives easier.

@eseSpaceCowboy Claro, y al final yo considero los videojuegos arte y por suerte el arte no es matemático. Muchísima gente ha conectado muchísimo con el juego (yo incluido) y aunque se que objetivamente hay juegos que hacen mejor otras cosas, pues a veces hay que dejarse llevar también.

A mi lo que me vuela la cabeza de verdad, es que tengais los santiismos cojones de decir que desde FFX, no había salido un juego por turnos tan bueno como Expedition 33. Ya no se si son baiteos, o simplemente que no habéis jugado según que sagas o cosas.
