People on this platform conflate stock market & asset prices at all-time highs to most in a nation enjoying the 'highest quality of life ever!'. Why are suicides and antidepressant use rising dramatically while the LFPR and male attainment are plummeting if this is the case? Why is our lifespan decreasing? Why is drug use/deaths at all time highs? Venezuela's stock market looks good on paper, too. Those assets that you have a tiny, tiny, chunk of, are making very few - very wealthy.

Here's a little warning for all the BTFD kids, the VIX term structure is flattening out tonight, during the day today it was firmly in contango, it's looking like we may be heading for backwardation and with spot above 20 that's going to give us a gut check drop. Many tourists would get wiped out in a matter of minutes from the open.

@Basssem666 I think we blast through the 50 to 700 before any bounce, too much selling not enough liquidity, and everyone is expecting the short term bounce. Every pop sold.

$SPY I’m already out of puts as you know but the chart looks terrible. However, I won’t short again here. I see it dropping to the 50 dma or 718 maximum before finding a short term bottom. Only short term, since I believe the bullish structure is broken as long as price is under 750. I’ll take a shot long around the 50 dma for a tactical bounce back to the 730s and 740s then short again near the resistance. If I don’t get my long entry and price bounces off from here I’ll watch and short a rejection near 748-750 or before, depends on how strong or weak the bounce will be. I’ll go all cash into the close. Enjoy your evenings✌️

Market analysis for the week: So, as we kick off June, understand that it's been pretty consistent that, in election years, it starts with a roar and ends up with a limp. When we look at the landscape this year, I see little reason to think that won't continue. Gas prices continue to create cracks in the economy, we're starting to see fractures in the household with credit card delinquencies spiking to levels not seen since the Great Recession right when spending tends to rise for Summer. On top of that, when you look at the broader market, yes, it's trading at ATH's, but there is some serious fragility in how it got here. Over half of the gains have come from only 8 companies - all of them in a cyclical vertical. By all means, continue to ride those waves with profits, but don't put yourself in a position where a sudden rush to the exits puts you from flush to panhandling in just a few days. On the earnings front, this is a quietly exciting week. $PANW leads the way here, with the stock basically doubling since Nikesh decided to bet on himself and announced purchases. $AVGO and $CRWD follow the day after. Cyber stocks have been getting pummeled on earnings so far ( $S, $ZS, etc.), and both of these guys are at eye watering levels. $AVGO has largely been left behind in the chip rally but has quietly been the backbone of the demand. I've never said it before, and I'll never say it again, but $TTC is one to keep an eye on on Thursday. Be vewy vewy careful going into the end of the week, with an NFP report that's sure to pour cold water on some of the surprise "beats" from past months. Opening new option positions on Thursday should come with an internal +10% risk.
