it’s 2am and i’m bouncing back and forth between figma and claude for my new figma plugin

While the templates were stacking up, I did something else. I dusted off my 10 year old Upwork profile. Used to do Android development there. Hadn't touched it in years. Reorganized it. Repositioned it around Framer. Small projects started coming in — these I handled myself. At the same time — clients started finding @waidastudio through the templates. Template customizations. Custom websites. Landing pages. I outsourced every single one to freelancers. Two streams. Zero execution. Still just operating.

day 1 / 60 - $20,000 Framer challenge starting point: not zero. I already have one Framer client project in progress. $500 collected, another $500 coming when we wrap up. so the scoreboard is at $500 / $20,000. today's plan: - finish mobile design for my current client - start building my first Framer template - follow up with 2 potential clients - not the most exciting day 1. just the work that makes the rest possible. $500 / $20,000 - day 1 of 60

$2k/month from templates. Fully passive. Fully outsourced. Took 4-6 months to get there. But it wasn't a straight line — some months were great, some were brutal. Most of it came from the Webflow marketplace. 25+ templates doing the work while I slept. I know it doesn't sound impressive, and it has a very bad ROI. But this was just the foundation. Client projects. Framer commissions. Recurring retainers. That's where the real numbers started. More on that next.
