@pizzaboy It looks like something else for the first 2 seconds, you might want to change that lmao

Databuddy came to us pre-funding and feeling like they looked like a hobby project. Their words, more or less.
This is probably the most common thing we see, and what most discovery calls end up coming down to. The gap between their product quality and branding has got too big.
After three weeks we had shipped a new logo suite, color palette, and a bunch of marketing collateral such as a pitch deck, and letter heads etc.
Super fun project, super nice founder, and super good product.

The title is centered mathematically instead of optically.
@ChatGPTapp you need a new designer?

@MaybeFlorent @framer AI is making everything easier, for sure. But we need to ask ourselves: how can we make people interested again when the previous approach to selling templates is no longer working?

For those who are posting here saying that the @framer template business is dead, I have a few questions for you. (Don't read if you get offended too quickly.)
Do you think the template business is dead, or are your templates not good enough to interest business owners?
Is design the only thing you can offer founders who are struggling to find clients?
Go ahead and name me 5 things that your template offers buyers that others in your niche don't. (Not just design.) What are the 5 things that would make a buyer stop and think? How confident are you in your own work? (Without an inflated ego, because I had that before and it didn't do me any good.)
Is your template's main strength that it has "better design"? If yes, then there's no reason for you to complain about how Marketplace 3.0 ruined your income.
I genuinely can't understand why most creators don't want to take at least one small step forward in their work and offer something more.
In my opinion, the template business will be dead in one and only one case: if creators choose to stay in the same place and not evolve, thinking that it's over just because AI can replicate templates. With AI's current capabilities, a lot of the things people offered years ago can already be replicated.
The question right now is: what are you going to do about it? Complain that it's over for you, or offer something that can't be replicated? Yes, AI will continue to evolve, but if you're quitting because of it, then maybe the problem isn't AI. Maybe the problem is that you don't want to build an offer that people can't generate with AI in a few minutes.
Or how well did you market your template? Did you post one screenshot of your template with an AI generated description that doesn't even make sense? Or maybe you should stop treating marketing like an afterthought and start giving people a reason to care about what you built before asking them to buy it.
Personally, instead of leaving this business, I chose to take a big leap in the value I provide. I choose to take my work seriously instead of being in a race to make the most templates, hoping that at least one of them gets a sale.
Now ask yourself one question: Are you giving it your all or not? 99% of the time, the real answer is no. I can say the same about myself. I might be doing everything I can to make Span the best product possible, but I know I'm still not giving it 100%.
What you can do right now is take one day to fully analyze your work and ask yourself: What can you offer buyers in your niche? What are their biggest struggles? How can you solve them with your template?

Two of my @framer templates have been featured on @minimal_gallery Floffice and Archiste!!!! Just yesterday, I received a negative comment on x about Floffice, but as you can see, it's not worth getting into a discussion with everyone.

@koenbok But whats the problem, some people genuinely don't know how to develop or design products but they have good product ideas, so they just let AI do that part
