@forsportsonly Snyder did it without NIL. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. Yes, it’s impressive what has been done at Indiana. But as you already said, Snyder saved the program, the school, and Manhattan.

False, but that's not meant to diminish what IU's accomplished.
KSU was going to shut the program down if Bill Snyder didn't win. He literally saved the program / entire town.
Indiana's reached higher heights in a shorter time, but if we're talking impact it's still Snyder

Avery Johnson is one of one. I don’t give a damn what his on-field legacy is relative to the hype, he has MORE than delivered as a true ambassador of K-State and the state of Kansas. Hopefully his unwavering belief in this program and its people never gets lost because it’s the real story of who he is and what he represents. Special confidence and maturity in an era of instability and immaturity.

NEWS: Kansas State star PJ Haggerty has opted out of the remainder of the season after not receiving promised NIL compensation. Kansas State’s NIL fund, Wildcat NIL, shut down earlier this month. Haggerty is strongly considering suing the university.

I don’t think people realize several of these teams not accepting bowl invites have several factors at play.
1. Many don’t have a head coach + staff
2. The transfer portal opens soon. Those looking to leave don’t want to get hurt in a “meaningless” game.
3. New/Incoming Coaches can’t coach the bowls. Probably want to get started on 2026.
Yes it sucks. But this is the new college football. Better get use to it.
