totally agree. some of the most basic tools for trading are not easily accessible to retail trader hence they treat trading as betting/gambling however, trading is much more powerful and a serious business based on numbers, indicators and projections. we are trying to bridge that gap by providing tools and infrastructure needed to trade

Paper trading once saved me from a costly mistake. Here's what happened. I had a strategy I'd been working on for a few weeks. RSI-based, tested on two years of Nifty 50 data. The backtest results looked solid — positive returns, manageable drawdown, consistent signals. I was ready to go live. I didn't. Not immediately. Something made me want to run it through a paper trader first. "Just two or three weeks," I told myself. "To make sure it connects properly." In the first week, the strategy fired twice. The backtest was averaging about two signals a week. Something was off. Then I started digging. In the backtest, I'd used end-of-day closing prices. In live markets, the signals were being evaluated on real-time data, which is considerably noisier. Entries that triggered cleanly in historical data didn't trigger in practice — the conditions were technically met for a few seconds, then reversed before the order could execute. The strategy wasn't broken. It just wasn't doing what I thought it was doing. If I'd deployed real capital in those three weeks, I'd have been sitting in cash 90% of the time, wondering why my "proven" strategy wasn't trading. Paper trading doesn't make a strategy profitable. It does something different — it tells you whether what you built is actually what you think you built. The execution gap between a backtest and a live market is real, and it varies strategy by strategy. I built FlyTradr's Paper Trader because of moments like this. @SeHozaifa I have been building as a solo founder and haven't had any issues with the product itself. the only time I feel AI falls short is getting the product out in market. I genuinely feel marketing is super difficult for AI to crack (at least for next few years)
