@Watch_LFC there was literally 5-6 years of his time at madrid where he was not that good, there’s even times the fans wanted a new forward. He’s comfortably the worst player of the 6 you listed

I hate to wade into inane ranking discourse but honestly the whole Benzema debate has annoyed me.
Benzema was the best CF of his era. Better than Lewandowski/Kane/Rooney/Aguero/Suarez.
Benzema literally completed football. He spent over 10 years at Real Madrid, has a trophy haul bigger than any other player other than Messi/Ronaldo, won countless Champions Leagues.
But beyond the facts and figures, the way he played football was truly the beautiful game in its truest sense. He flowed like water on the pitch, he had every technique mastered, he was the smartest player on the pitch.
And his peak, the two seasons building up to him winning the Ballon d’.Or? On my life, he was one of the most inevitable players I’d ever seen. The PSG, Chelsea and Man City matches in the CL, you just knew he was scoring or assisting. Everything he did just made sense, even if it was ridiculous to watch in the moment. The header he did from the edge of the box against Chelsea for example…ridiculous but the moment that ball was in the air and I saw his body was in the vicinity, I knew it was a goal before he even made the connection.
It was a peak where he had the same sense of inevitability that R9 and Suarez had at their peaks. But unlike those two, his goals and contributions on the pitch were the defining contributions to a team which won countless Champions League’s in a row. And even more importantly, this was post-Cristiano Ronaldo.
Technique wise he was the best CF of his generation. He scored more important goals than any of his peers too, even if he didn’t score the most.
Personally for me the ranking is:
1) Benzema
2) Lewandowski
3) Suarez
4) Rooney
5) Kane
6) Aguero

He’s doing the job of a 8, 10, and 9 in literally the most difficult circumstances playing against all the momentum and you want to question if any striker is close in terms of all around play, fuck off man
How do you watch a striker play with this much IQ and dare question him?

Kane has scored 50 goals this season 18 of them are pk...Suarez and Lewandowski would scored 75 goals if they ever were lucky enough to play 18 pk a season.
SG@04gully
Kane is not in the bracket of Benzema/Suarez/Lewandowski, he’s the tier below them with Aguero/Rooney etc. idk why him scoring 50 goals for Bayern puts in that convo

@andriii110 @ReynaXMCI because that season was dogshit?
English

@imzispoms We’re meant to ignore Kane dominating in a weaker team over the course of a season and focus on Benz scoring in ‘big games’ of which he played significantly more? You’re not being honest
English

it's not worth arguing with people like this. your understanding of the game is so pathetically bad if you think Kane and Benzema are similar levels of creative 😂
Solo@Z9Priv_
Benzema isn’t better than Kane at a single thing. League: Kane (by far) Scoring: Kane (by far) Creativity: Similar Internationally: Kane Even in the UCL, Benzema was inconsistent for years and Kane still has a better G/A per game ratio

Randomly seeing a lot of Benzema slander on my timeline this Saturday morning... and I strongly DISAGREE.
Karim Benzema to Real Madrid is one of the best bargains in football history.
A €35m signing that lasted 14 years at Real Madrid. 5 more years than Ronaldo. 6 more years than Bale.
14 years at the biggest club in the world, under the most pressure, with the most scrutiny, in the most ruthless environment.
He's 5th on their all-time appearance list, their 2nd top scorer (354 goals) and their 2nd top assist provider (156).
He facilitated the greatest goalscorer the game has ever seen, whilst also scoring 20 goals in a season 6 times alongside him and 30 once.
Once Ronaldo left, he produced one of the greatest individual seasons this century...
44 goals, 15 assists in 46 games in 21/22, including 15 in the Champions League, including strikes in 5 straight knockout games, with back-to-back hat-tricks.
Everyone will have their favourites... but Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane haven't achieved anywhere close to the things Benzema has and didn't have the same longevity at the very top either.
As far as I'm concerned, Benzema can sit at any table he wants!
