Imagine, a taxpayer father stood in the cold and watched his taxpayer son die, for two hours. Not suddenly. Not instantly. But slowly, minute by minute, while his voice echoed in the dark. “Papa, please save me.” 27-year-old Yuvraj Taxpayer Mehta was alive. He was standing on the roof of his car, trapped in a water-filled pit in Greater Noida. He had survived the crash. He had the strength to climb up. He had the presence of mind to call his father. And the father came running. What he saw when he reached the spot will haunt him for the rest of his life. A car sinking. Cold, black water rising. His son was visible. Shivering. Calling out. Police were there. Officials were there. Rescue forces were informed. And yet, for two hours, nothing happened. The father pleaded. The son screamed. Time passed. The car kept sinking because the pit, a massive construction hole left open without barricades, lights, or warnings, had been waiting there like a death trap. Low visibility did the rest. Yuvraj had not driven recklessly. He had driven into the government's negligence. As his father watched, helpless, his dear boy slowly disappeared under the water. The authorities refused to help because "water was too cold", "they were scared of iron objects in the water", they didn't have proper equipment". So the state stood still. This is the reality of our country. In the end, it was not a uniformed officer who acted. It was a delivery agent named Moninder, who could no longer bear to watch. He jumped into the pit on his own. By then, it was too late. The car and the boy had disappeared into dark silence. Ask yourself, was this an accident? Was this his fate? It was a chain of human decisions: - to leave a pit open, - to ignore safety, - to wait instead of act, - to choose fear over duty. A father watched his son die that night, not because help was impossible, but because help was delayed until courage arrived too late. We must ask ourselves something painful, when a citizen can die in full view of the system, crying for two hours, and still be abandoned what exactly are we paying the taxes for? Just to fund the luxurious life of politicians in power and government officials? The boy's dead body was pulled out the next morning.

In other news, GPT 5.2 is probably OpenAI's most irritating model ever. They've outdone themselves with the pointless bak-bak (verbosity) and unnecessary line breaks that destroy readability. Even telling it off doesn't help much. Verbal Diarrhea is default for GPT 5.2 it seems. Looks like, rate limitation permitting, I might just end up mostly using Claude. So far, it's much more grown-up than GPT 5.2. Bit by bit, porting my custom GPTs into skills. 19 skills done today. Another 61 pending...might take a week. Just set up Claude Code as well. Baby steps.

@Rahul_J_Mathur Given that some of these features have been live for nearly a year, it seems unlikely that uptake will significantly improve.

@helloadani Probably very low right now but you will expect this from the fact that the features are hidden and not deeply integrated with the products. You will have to give this two to three quarters to play out and it may even start to show up on earnings statements by that point

AI is slowly taking over retail stock broking in India: The launch of Perplexity Finance for India in Aug ‘25 took incumbents & startups by surprise - it was supposed to be simple banter between Arvind & Nikhil Kamath of Zerodha - but a week later the real product came out Here’s how the industry has adopted AI ⤵️

Here are the salaries which Govt of India will pay to the team that will manage our ₹1 Lakh crore RDI Fund: For context: The Govt of India had allocated ₹10,000 crore in 2016 for the Startup Fund of Fund Scheme (FFS) which was managed by SIDBI Ventures. FFS invests in VC funds which in turn invest in startups. In 2025, GOI came back with a clear intent to invest in DeepTech in the country by allocating ₹1 Lakh crore to the RDI Fund - which will invest in DeepTech VC funds and provide alternative funding for startups. So, here’s my question: What is your first reaction to the numbers highlighted in yellow? Mine is below ⤵️

Just for 30 days don’t eat any junk food. No samosa no bhature no biryani no patties no frankie no poori no dahi balle no pani puri. Just for 30 days. You will live for 27000 days. Just 30 days no junk. Take religious oath or take kasam of someone. Whatever helps. But only 30 days. Then on 31st day, eat some junk. Your stomach will tell you almost instantly that why it was a bad idea to add junk to the diet and you will subconsciously start avoiding junk easily. Remember, just 30 days.

After having no control over my sugar intake for over 10 yrs, I finally decided to cut "added sugar" intake. Just after 2 months of quitting, I went to Amritsar. Couldn't resist my temptation to have Lassi. What I once craved for months became something I couldn't drink. Not only did I find it weird, but I couldn't even finish drinking half the glass. Sugar, I realised, once you quit, there's no going back. There's no better way of quitting something once you start despising it! Health experts here – is there any way of despising junk food as well? I've been told that having 4 litres of water a day helps. Your craving does go away but you don't start despising it.
