Hello @mikeyk / @jenny_wen I would love a way to share skills across a team workspace — like a shared skill library where anyone on the team can access and trigger them. That would make them 10x more useful. Right now it's a .skill file I have to manually distribute.

@NCResq @mikeyk @jenny_wen Longer‑term, it’d be amazing if we could publish these directly into Claude as shared Skills (or even a plugin‑style package), so teams could just “turn on” a library in a workspace instead of wiring up repos by hand. similar to how we use shared design systems in Figma.

@aishvaryagupta_ @mikeyk @jenny_wen Yes I will probably have to do that to but I don’t want to do that. I want any skill I create to be ready for use for everyone asap.. and also not everyone is comfortable in terminal and cursor.

@NCResq @mikeyk @jenny_wen I’ve set up a shared git repo for our skills so the whole team can use and improve them together. Anyone can pull, commit updates, and have the latest versions in their workspace.

@herecomsthesan The design led companies like Cred Groww Swiggy Razorpay PhonePe Sarvam where the craft shows through are much rarer.. mostly the design decisions are constrained by PM

@NCResq really? i assumed design is the kind of profession where these things are a big part of the JD. what else would you optimise for?

very curious about what startups look for when hiring product managers are they looking for people who fit the traditional PM archetype (engineer, man, has built 67 dashboards, uses the word AI 107 times in every conversation)? if yes, is that the reason so many indian products are so devoid of personality -- due to the lack of diversity in people building them? i've seen product profiles that come to us get rejected instantly by the HR/ founders when they don't fit this archetype. i've also seen mid people being hired simply because they do. being on the inside, i know our product could use someone with more warmth & empathy driving it. i know how much they like to throw around words like 'craft' and 'taste' and 'design-led.' and yet they will continue hire the same exact men in different fonts, time & again are there any women in tech who have experienced this? is this real or am i just seeing this hiring process with a very jaded perspective

This Friday, I’m hosting a demo night for designers at Indiranagar. AI x Design Demos* is a small, curated evening for designers to get together, share what they’ve been building, and see what others are doing with AI. Apply to attend at luma.com/zzxlg9dc

There’s this sameness that I’m beginning to notice in digital product design these days and i don’t know if it’s intentional but it’s starting to look bland. I’ve scrolled passed over 5 UI screens done by different people and I can’t tell the difference between them. I can tell they’re all trying to be “clean”

@ommakes DMing you. I’d be curious to hear how you got it to work reliably with whatever your coding agent is and use the same components to compose the layouts consistently

@NCResq Just setting up a storybook in cursor for components I have was so incredibly painful. After getting it set up, I had to review and understand how to triage each component to be viewable. Total time suck of an afternoon I wasn’t prepared for.

Storybook is a disaster. I get it, I have to set up a preview environment effectively - the whole experience is haphazard and a time suck. Engineers deserve better tooling than this.

friend's friend wrote a piece on his substack criticising the supreme court for its gag order relating to the ncert book ban, now he has received an email to take down the same because "judges, advocates of the sc and hc have been making spate of calls" and it would be in (1/2)

product design in software has always been a sequence of connected jobs: understanding which problem is worth solving, exploring options visually, getting to something testable fast, iterating, and making decisions with incomplete information. but this whole product development sequence is being reordered. as AI coding agents take on more of what used to require an engineer, the role of designers, design tooling, and where design work happens is being reshaped. we (@Libbiefrost) spent the last several months talking to design leaders at companies we admire like @bnj, @dbabbs and @moeamaya building + thinking about the tools enabling this shift. what follows is what we found… that is, as of March 20th, 2025. our honest caveat is that the rate at which this is changing makes any map feel provisional the moment we draw it. regardless, read are our takes here: :) creativeconviction.github.io/product-design/
