One of the most beautiful moments in 2024. David Gilmour gave a surprise performance with his daughter Romany Gilmour of Pink Floyd's beautiful song "Wish You Were Here". When she saw him, she exclaimed "My God, you're here. And you brought your guitar!" at which point a beaming David made his way through the crowd to join his daughter on the venue's small stage. "You're coming to upstage me? Okay, cool," laughed his daughter. Seeing father and daughter performing together is magnificent. What a connection… How lucky to be able to say that David Gilmour is your father!

2025 = 45^2 It's a perfect square. It will probably be the only perfect square year you ever get to live in. The last time that occurred was in 1936. The next will be in 2116. So, make 2025 a perfect year for you.

The notion that people no longer would need to learn programming (b/c AI) reminded me of a Swedish PhD dissertation from 1990 that made a big impression on me at the start of my career. I now discovered that it has been translated into English: litteraturmagazinet.se/bo-goranzon/en…

Any video editors out there who also know a thing or two about coding? I want to have a few of my conf talks chopped up into short form videos. I've talked to a few editors but they are almost always lying about their portfolio. I even called one guy out on a call with him 😆

Anyone have recommendations for books with cool code tricks? For example, bitwise tricks, minification tricks, cool smart code algo's. But not to a dry-academic-level degree of explanation. I'm looking for something that's more accessible and more joyful to read.

If you are interested in how you can pull data from @contentful in your @remix_run, checkout this PR; the bonus point here is that everything is type-safe using Zod. I will probably do a video or write about it if you are interested. 🔗 github.com/Khaledgarbaya/…
