Why is no one touching on how inaccessible this is. As a dyslexic person asking me to create a prompt in written form is absolutely awful. Spelling awful, structuring written thought awful, add some ADHD and it's a mess.

@rafaelmatosds @figma You can extend in a separate file. That was one of the most important requirements for us - teams can own their own brands!

Excited that Extended Collections for @figma has finally hit the stage. Multi-brand design systems are now a breeze. Stay tuned for the launch next month! We've been using it internally for the last few months to make it easy peasy to switch between our brands.

@joepuddle @figma Ah - got it. That route does force you to use the single component, many variants way of structuring icons rather than using instance swap though I guess. It only works for monochrome icons - but we use this x.com/rogie/status/1… trick to prevent colors resetting.

Hey @figma when will you give us the ability to swap icons (assets) using variables? Not just the text string hack. That just doesn't scale.

@parkersweb @figma If you create a text variable the same name as your icon you can then pull in an instance then in the prop panel assign it that text string. @joepuddle @figma Curious about what the text string hack is? Variables that are a component references (like an alias) sound great though. Being able to bind an instance swap to a variable would be amazing. For components with many variants instance swap is already kinda limited anyway.

Hey @figma are you having some performance issues? My app and a few others at work has got so slow. It's taking like 5+ seconds to just loads a workspace

Figma became ultra slow for me to the point where I couldn't open a single file. Internet connection is strong and every single other application runs smooth. What could be the problem? Any suggestions?
