The next great vertical software companies will not win by adding AI to a feature.
They will win by finding fragmented fields, unifying the workflow, centralizing the data, and making intelligence native to the entire ecosystem.
If you want to build in a specialized field, find the place where everyone is living in spreadsheets, legacy tools, PDFs, inboxes, and tribal knowledge. Then build the operating system for that world.
The prize is not a better app.
The prize is category consolidation.
One or two companies per field will become the place where the work happens, the data accumulates, and the AI gets smarter because it can finally see the whole job.
Build for that. Build like monopoly is the product strategy.
