A Character that was modeled after Luke and sold as his successor. They both started as Orphans on Desert Planet. Luke witnessed his Uncle and Aunt death and that prompted him to leave Tatooin. Rey was dragged into "Adventure" by accident. It took Luke 3 movies to defeat his nemesis - Vader, they didn't clashed until 2nd movie and their first encounter Luke lost and lost his hand. Rey kicked his nemesis ass - a guy that had more experiance and training - with ease. Luke struggled to use force initially, Rey mind controlled people in first movie. Luke had Hero Journey from Zero to Hero. Reys was Space Jesus by 2nd movie. Luck had stakes increased by Vader declaring "I am your Father" while Rey had Spaceballs moment "I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate." Whoever designed Rey had zero understanding of what makes Hero a Hero. She was Mary Sue Mara Jade wannabe that failed miserably.

@soydantaylor @it_unprofession I love this. If people insist on communicating with me via text, the least they can do is not make a simple request drag out for 5-10 minutes.

My boss just sent me a Slack message that says "hey do you have a sec?" No context. Just the digital equivalent of a tap on the shoulder before an execution. I replied "sure, what's up?" two minutes ago. The little indicator says he's typing. He's been typing for three solid minutes. What could possibly take three minutes to type? Are we restructuring the entire org chart? Am I being fired via a multi-paragraph manifesto? I checked his calendar and he has a meeting with HR at noon. My heart rate is currently higher than it was during my last stress test. He finally hit send. "Do you know how to convert a PDF to a Word doc?" I'm going to bill the company for my future cardiology appointments.
