Leaving Tech
@leaving_tech
Escaping corporate tech. Layoffs and burnout survivor. I love and hate AI. Building my own thing on the side. Sound familiar?

@WatcherGuru My advice is: don't follow anyone's advice. Nor Saylor's advice. Nor mine.
English

@unkonfined Same here. Be you. Be real. That's the best strategy to grow. Be yourself.
English

@justinhammon_ Wow, I want to see the end result. Must taste like heaven.
English

@SebsterSpeaks Oh no! I hope you have something left to feed the cats.
English

This is what I bought with my 𝕏 Payout!
I'm only using it when I go for grocery shopping, as it's low key.
When I grow up, I'll buy a much better car.
I apologize for showing this very old and boring car. Please forgive me.
It is me in the video. Of course it's not my car, but I had fun driving it.
English

@rand_longevity I believe is because of the burnout I have. Or just the 40s is hitting too hard. I will be following your advice and see if I improve.

5 million impressions.
That's the wall most X accounts are grinding against right now. For some it takes weeks. For others, months.
And if you're under 5K followers, it's brutal. You already know that. I'm not even there yet.
But I know what actually moves the needle: viral replies.
One that lands can do a million views on its own (like my best reply, see image).
That's weeks of posting into the void, compressed into an afternoon.
Can you go viral on command? No. Nobody can.
But there are a few things that tilt the odds. I'll get into those soon.

English

@leaving_tech No clue. Super confusing so far. What worked yesterday might not work today. I think getting viral replies is super important to get more traffic on your feed. But somehow it’s connected to momentum. Few posts that are not popular and you are back to zero reach
English

@MnFounder My most viral one (1M views) was about "escaping my 9-5" but in a "health/longevity" post. So actually I can see is about my "Leaving Tech" topic.

@rand_longevity Bookmarked! I'll be counting back the days. I cannot wait more to escape my 9-5.
English

@leaving_tech that's the main problem... does it make sense to have a viral post if the people watching are not the people you want to have in your circle?
English

@MnFounder those were very random, not related with tech at all 😅
English

@leaving_tech you did it only on niche posts or you went to any viral post?
English

@rand_longevity yes, I just get more relaxed with the diet on the weekends
English

@i_mika_el yeah, me too. It's good to understand how these things work and where the money goes
English

@leaving_tech Great mindset. Even though I am trying always to keep eyes on the ball. Just focus on the goals
English

@i_mika_el 😆 I don't rush tbh. My focus is how to provide value and understand what people like/need. Then, money will arrive (or not).
English

@SebsterSpeaks Exactly. Mine is anonymous but personal. I like this way for now. I'll keep talking about what I feel I can talk: tech, money, health and more.
English

@leaving_tech There are people writing only about one thing, but if the account is personal, it's virtually impossible not to touch some other niches.

🚨𝕏 Payout doesn't worth your time, if you are a LEGIT Creator 🚨
Some people will say "You got paid, WTF are you complaining about?"
Let me explain:
* Huge effort and time in creating original content that, more often than not, it's buried by the 𝕏 Algo
* Constant change of the rules, inconsistencies
* No transparency (where is the "Home Timeline Verified Impressions Feature? In the trash? Got it!)
* You can have tens of thousands of followers, your content reaches almost nobody.
* Grifters are still making hundreds and thousands of $ with 30 seconds copy-pasted content effort
* 𝕏 Team is too focused on delivering features nobody asked for, instead of fixing the damn platform first. It's like building a 10 stories luxury house on a wretched foundation!
* Exceptions exist, but they are a drop in the ocean. Those exceptions are promoted so much, that it's hard to see the shit behind the golden curtain.
Let me make this clear: if I would be here for the money, I would starve and be long. I'm here for the people.
I built a serious audience (9.4K verified followers, over 12.5K active users), but all the effort seems to be in vain, for one simple reason: my content doesn't reach my followers.
If you are new here and you still believe you can make a living here, I'm sorry to break it to you: you can't.
If you are here for fun and for the people, then, yes, 𝕏 is the place to be.
Congratulations to everyone who got paid and condolences for whoever didn't.
Enjoy your weekend. Peace out!
