I had a great time playing through Resident Evil 4... ...except for 1 little aspect:

30 hours in to CRIMSON DESERT and good LORD I adore this game so far! What an amazing fantasy world to just get LOST in. Reminds me why I love video games; delivers the fantasy I had as a little kid playing ADVENTURE on the Atari!

Hour 100, found a backpack machine that makes infinite chocolate. Time to take my dragon and fight the giant robot pterodactyl in the sky by landing on its propeller wings

@TheAssassinAK47 You can't really show what this game does in a short video or clip, but I think you raise a fair point. If you join the stream at 3 pm EST, I'll make an effort in showing you all that you ask for (except for the romance... unless I haven't found that mechanic yet).

@lockmort Every clip I see of this game is people just looking at the world. If it’s Skyrim 2 show me some cool dungeons/caves. Show me something like the thieves guild or the dark brotherhood. Show me dialogue options. Show me different races I can be and create. Show me romance options.

Skyrim 2 continues to absolutely blow me away.

@lastchalice Thanks man! I think the onboarding is not great, but once you get to chapter 3, a few hours in, and get to assemble your Greymane crew, it becomes much better and now I'm fully engaged with the story. It's not high poetry of course, but it's decent for a video game.

@lockmort Lock, loved hearing your impressions on Summon Sign. I know the story is not what this game is about, nor is it required to be good for the game to be amazing. Having said that, what are your thoughts currently on the story and characters?

The Crimson Desert discourse has been really strange to me. Initially there were lots of people with very strong opinions, who barely touched it or never even played the game. Happy the tide has rapidly switched to a way more positive outlook. It deserves it. Great game.

@dwreck1101 If there's a tip I can give you, do the Greymane quests first and get your crew assembled. It makes for more personal side stories, and you also learn some new mechanics along the way which break it all open.

@lockmort I'm enjoying it at times and other times I'm not. Some of the quests feel meaningless. I've only fought one boss so far. Looking forward to going out to explore more once I feel that I acquired enough skills.

restarted crimson desert on ps5 pro and ended up playing all night. much better time knowing what to do and being a pro at navigating the confusing menus. i can just vibe with the world and it looks gorgeous on the pro

Man I really really like crimson desert. It's Dense, stodgy, expansive, bold, the kitchen sink and then some, odd, quirky, beautiful, messy but I just admire how it swings for the fences. Patience is def required for it. But man, it's cool.

@MoskitoByte1 I love games like this with deep systems that don't tell you what to do and continuously surprise you, but they do often come with jank. It controls like RDR2, which a lot of people will hate, but that mixed together with DD2 makes it like crack to me. I can't get enough of it.

@lockmort I think I’m seeing a pattern that you gravitate towards games with a lot of jank, lol. I’m enjoying it, too, but man these controls are so bad.

@timsoret It's sadly not possible yet to have an honest and informed discussion about anything regarding AI at this point in time. Photoshop, digital recording, etc... were also met with heavy vitrolic resistance. New technology is scary and easy to misunderstand, but we'll get there soon.

Interesting moral dilemma. I implore you, instead of having vivid gut reactions, to let them decant, and to listen to arguments from both sides thoroughly & earnestly.

@awilsonheid Yes sir! The first one is fantastic as well. Not as refined as KCD2 of course, but definitely worth a playthrough.

@lockmort now that I’m about to beat KCD 2 they have released a ps5 version of the first game. Is it worth it to go back and play it?
