The debate was on if The Book of Mormon is demonic” He admits he has not read it He admits it’s basically teaching the same stuff as the Bible. He can’t point to a single verse that is demonic. Oof.

Today I learned the Mormons GENUINELY think they know Scripture better than us.

Read the Holy Bible. Cover to cover. Pray about it, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you. (The final paragraph in the final book, Revelation, provides specific warnings to those who add or take away from it.) Tell us then, after reading the Holy Bible and the revelation of the Holy Spirit whether Mormons believe in the One true God, his ONLY Son, Jesus Christ, or are they following the false teachings of a man in the 1800’s who liked to mimic Christianity and also add and take away from the teachings of the Holy Bible? The strangest thing about all this discourse is that I’m realizing a lot of Christians seem to think we hate or have an unfavorable opinion of them, but that just isn’t true. In fact, we don’t view any religion negatively, even though we are the most negatively viewed religion.

Last week, a proposed list of simplified faith codes was released to the media. The Pentagon list included redundant and unnecessary labeling, and the mistake has been fixed. The goal of this effort is to simplify a previously out-of-control “belief” coding system that had ballooned to over 200 codes. In order to clarify the work of chaplains, and simplify the work of commanders, the Pentagon has consolidated and simplified the list to roughly thirty codes — using the previously used labels for faiths. The Pentagon’s job is not to adjudicate theological debates, but instead to ensure sincerely-held faith is respected and encouraged in our ranks. Below is the updated Religious Affiliation Codes (RAC) list:
