Nearly 3 months & 99 feelings in—@HowWeFeel is still one of the most beautifully designed iOS apps I’ve used.
I’ve said this personally, but kudos to @8en, @mudaba & James, for stewarding this gem with such care. Quietly luminous.
Also to @YaleEmotion & @drmarcbrackett!
What is the Safe and Sound Protocol?, by @bevoya What matters is that I’m shifting the feeling in my body. If the shift feels good, even if it’s small, it’s worth it, since that is how the nervous system gets regulated. open.substack.com/pub/beautifulv…

"Sometimes it seems to me…that my brain and lungs came to an agreement without my knowledge. ‘Things can’t go on this way,’ said the brain, and after 5 years the lungs declared that they were ready to help." -- Kafka in response to the first signs of tuberculosis
@goetzrobin@HowWeFeel@goetzrobin Thank you for the support! A great way to get it into more hands is to do exactly what you're doing here -- sharing your experience with others🫶
@mudaba I know DM‘s often get lost but I wanted to let you know how thankful I am for you and your team for creating @HowWeFeel! It’s everything I aspire the software I create to be! I’d love to learn more how I can help get it into more people’s hands.
@SalmanRushdie Knife, which is published by Penguin and runs to 224 pages, is the first book Rushdie has written since the attack. “This was a necessary book for me to write: a way to take charge of what happened, and to answer violence with art,” he said.
I saw @SalmanRushdie way back in the fatwa days speaking covertly at a bookshop in London. I have always been a Rushdie fan and am so, so relieved that he survived this brutal, senseless attack. theguardian.com/books/2024/apr…
