I always prefer using the stairs, no matter the floor I’m going to, rather than using the elevator in Nigeria.
Generally speaking, I think elevator designs in Nigeria are too poor. There’s no escape hatch in most elevators I’ve used here. Once you’re stuck, you’re stuck.
And then there’s the fear of a power outage or mechanical failure that won’t be attended to promptly.

About 3 years ago, around 8 pm I went to Chicken Republic to get a meal.
It was getting near the closing period, but I was lucky to have gotten there at a record time.
