Now, most parents are highly attuned to their child or children’s’ future happiness, and part of this is wanting to accommodate and understand their child or children’s’ potential sexual orientation and/or gender differences. People want their children to be understood, and for their mental health to be protected. And people also know that forcing transgender children to be identified according to their biological gender at birth is not only dangerous and archaic, but it’s a slippery slope to also further demonising people with all other LGBTIQA+ characteristics. Taylor is a complete fucking tool. Because not only is he continuing to bang on about immigration when that’s the road to electoral oblivion since he’s just lost the votes of every citizen from families with Indian, Chinese and other countries’ heritage who now inhabit huge swathes of urban Australia and who are incensed at the racism the LNP campaigns on, but his new demonisation of transgender Australians will cause him even more electoral pain. We only hope Pauline Hanson’s similar current slide into even more extreme racism and transphobia than she’s demonstrated to date will also go down like a lead balloon when Aussies are next at the voting booth. Keep on going, Angus. There are a few groups of Australians you haven’t alienated or angered yet. The overwhelming amount of love and encouragement did not go unnoticed. And to every person who has continued to speak up for the Palestinian plight despite threats of prosecution, censorship, media attacks, intimidation, and cancel culture, never forget that history remembers those who stood for humanity when it was unpopular to do so. Submissions will be made to the Magistrate on June 2nd, and His Honour may or may not deliver a ruling on the day. Win or lose, I walk away from this proud. Proud that I stood by my convictions.
